Plastic fantastic cladding that adds weight and style(?) but not much else is the epitome of 90's.  I offer the Pontiac Gran Prix GTP.  Whole lotta show and some go.

correct. 1990 you had to have some sort of passive restraint.  My 90 GTi had belts attached to the door while my 93 Passat had motorized belts but eventually all Airbag and I think first for driver then ultimately both.

RE: Pinto/Chevette - As someone who worked in a body shop in the Mid 80's my biggest gripe with these two was that they were both built the same way any other large Malaise era car was. Rear wheel drive, heavy doors, with lots of fiddly shims for fenders, interior space that was cramped because RWD. The actually drove

RE: Audi - I concur (though the pic you have up isn’t the right generation). Back when this CBS hack job came out I was in the market to replace my 79 Fiat X-1/9. Prices for all Audi’s, even the manual ones which weren’t part of the “issue” took a hit so I shopped for a GT Coupe. Found a beautiful condition one with

When I first saw the Stinger I did a double take thinking it was an Audi A7 and liked it all these years though I’ll admit the nose has not quiet aged well.

the amount of red lights that are blown in these videos is almost as astonishing as the amount of hits that head knocker takes.

Its 1980 something and my mom on a good day was a nervous driver. We’d been in Europe for 2 wks which meant our dog was in the kennel for that time. I was staying in Europe for another 2 wks which meant that I along with my younger brother who normally would transport our dog around was not available. Rather than wait

The time I took my Mom and 4-5yo daughter to visit my dad’s grave. The grave visit was what it was. However, on the way back I neglected to take her coat off and she had had a steady diet of bagel with cream cheese and gold fish all the while watching Dora or something on her portable DVD player. We hit traffic on the

All of these make total sense. With a 16yo in my house about to drive I am breaking one maybe two rules. I’m handing her my 2014 Focus Automatic. Has enough of the safety features we all want without the nanny features that IMHO will make her too comfortable with the car saving her from herself.

I will admit that HD controls are very nice, but I am no fan of the shake at idle on those bikes. The Live wire felt solid for sure, but the controls were no better/worse than my bike. I even sorta dug the whine from the motor and the pure ability to hear wind noise, road noise and just anything but a ICE, but again

god yeah! He was THE daredevil badass. I had a 5 spd Columbia muscle bike back then and it was white.  The stunts I used to do in the name of being Evil!!!

I’ve “lost” the clutch on two cars (73 Celica GT / 81 Audi Coupe). Technically it was the hydraulics that wouldn’t disengage the clutch. But both times I managed to limp the car home by matching revs and shifting without the clutch.

On the rare occasion my dad decided he would want to drive my 76' Capri (my first car) we were driving back from NYC and he went to downshift and snapped the shifter. Literally the damn shifter snapped at its base. I think he was in 3rd at the time but the Cologne V6 was so torquey he was able to limp it home. I never

I test drove it this summer at an all electric expo. They let us take it on a short loop on real roads. I had just ridden some cool (I know) electric mopeds and to be honest I came away disappointed with the Livewire. I really wanted to like it but it was just meh. I may be jaded in that I’m used to my Ducati Diavel,

For us olds that’s an easy answer: Mr. James Dean. Died driving his Porsche.

I’m gonna say that here in the Northeast your statement is true AND false about our area. There are tons of HD riding guys here. However, every other brand is truly represented. I go to a regular Sunday Bikes and Breakfast and although we in the Ducati owners group tend to have a heavy presence, there are plenty of

Anyways, anyone got a line on where and what time exactly in NYC they’ll launch? Based on the contest they ran to have fans attend I think it’ll be in Times Square since they’re putting those winners up at the Hard Rock Times Square.

I love my Focus (and its my second!) but I do acknowledge that overall, the transmission has been its Achille’s heal.

Its one panel so its a matter of remanufacturing the panel, remove the wrong one and replace it. Not cheap but not the end of the world.

I own a 2020 CX9 and that 2.5 Turbo is plenty torquey and powerful around town. At highway speed it responds very quickly to the right foot and hauls ass
