Don't panic, fast Ford fans - other facts in the story lead me to believe it was unlkely to have been an ST. Maybe a 1.8 or 2.0 LX judging by the photo and terminally anonymous (apart from those godawful furry dice - he should have been fined just for them), which is why that car would have stood out like a sore thumb

Now playing

Hah! That's amateurish levels of camber compared this Kei-car...

Really it has to be anything in Martini colours. There have been Lancia 037s and Integrales, myriad porsches (935, 911 Carrera RSRs, 917s) as well as bikes, buses, lorries and almost anything on wheels. Somehow they all just look awesome.

Yeah... I was about 9 or 10 I guess. It was the morning after the event at Gleneagles celebrating 60 years of Grassicks Garage in Perth being a Rolls-Royce dealer (it isn't any more - only BMW, ironically).

AX201? Beautiful. I wish i'd appreciated that when I sat in the driver's seat...

Not when you've seen a Lada Samara in the flesh...

Quite.

Sure.

I'm such a sucker - NP as here they've mostly succumbed to filler and tinworm, even in that price range.

Another silly-thing-by-an-owner... Maybe don't put steering wheel controls on North-American spec cars, but please keep them for the UK. Almost all car stereos are designed for LHD cars, so it's a safety feature for some of us...

The answer would have to be a BMW 335D X-drive Touring, but as they don't sell that here in the UK it would be the Mazda CX-5 170bhp diesel auto I drive the other day..

Much as I dislike the tobacco industry and its desire to sell cancer sticks to 12 year olds, its branding was the catalyst for some fantastic liveries and their resulting graphic design. That said, the booze peddlars have been pretty instrumental too - anything with Martini colours is a winner in my eyes, even if it's

Bollocks! You're right and I, sir, have been a moron.

I'm going to be characteristically pedantic and point out that it's based on a Renault Master, not a Renault Trafic...

That's awesome. I like the iMEV (heinously expensive though it is) but this one is even cooler.

Writing about the friend with the VX220 Turbo reminded me of one of the cars he had before...

A 6 foot 4 friend of mine was the same (he doesn't fit in my MX5 for reasons similar to Matt's) and whilst he couldn't fit in an Elise at all, he was extremely comfortable in its sister car, the Vauxhall/Opel VX220. So much so that he bought himself a Turbo one and gave us hours of fun watching him get in and out of

2 choices here...

Yep. Would have been a wonderful little car were it not for the abysmal gearbox. Otherwise fun to drive you didn't notice the lack of speed because your bum was 3 inches fromt he tarmac.

I'm amazed that nobody's suggested surfing yet...
