But shonda isn't being asked to tackle these issues in a half hour COMEDY. That's a huge difference. I love shonda and what she's done, but I don't think the comparison exists beyond "they're both women of colour".

To be fair, I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about.
IM SO GLAD YOU GOT THE JOKE!
"I just love when women are able to see who the real enemy is: MEN MEN MEN MEN ALWAYS MEN."
I know he's not. It's a joke. Jeeez. Also, French is one of our two official languages so.
Félicitations! Magnifique!
I'm not surprised. I've traveled around the world with my parents and without fail, one of the two of them (or both) are always "randomly selected" for additional screening, regardless of attire. It's very demeaning because you can't speak up.
Maybe if you're white. My dad travels in suits to avoid getting harassed by Airport security, not because he's "fancy".
Indian girl here: my dad wears suits to travel in order to avoid harassment from airport security and 3 hour interrogations that cause him to miss his flights because "flying while brown". My mom and I wear dresses because we've endured YEARS of the same bullshit too. And this is not just flying domestically (I'm…
But the second butt in the butt-bridge is clearly white so I don't know, it reads more like her making fun of different genres of dance. I think we might be grasping a little here.
first of all, I was commenting on that one really poor photo evidence of her alleged lip enhancements, not every single photo of her lips that have ever existed. I don't have time nor energy to go scouring the internet for pictures to prove (or disprove) that Jennifer Aniston has had lip injections. I think you need…
Yes, actually.
Pretty sure she's just holding her mouth in different positions in both photos. I have full lips and I'm pretty sure they look considerably thinner when I'm smiling and stretching them out as opposed to puckering them up a bit.
Yeah, that's weird, but every case is different! We don't know the details. I don't see why this clinic can't make these decisions on a case by case basis. Like, if someone doesn't need a sperm donor in general, they prob shouldn't be there. The issue of the ethnicity of the sperm seems somewhat secondary to me.
Of course it's in Calgary.
I'm not offended! :) But we're not talking about colloquial terminology here. It's not okay for us to ignore how First Nations would like to be referred to as in favour of local nomenclature. They're people!
You're comparing the name of an entire population of people (incredibly marginalized people, at that) to the name of a type of fried food.
Not to be that person, but in my experience, Canadian Aboriginal peoples' usually prefer to be referred to as First Nations, Aboriginal or Indigenous. Its pretty rare and somewhat frowned upon to use the term 'Native American' here. You'll note that in the press release from Bass Coast, they used 'Indigenous' and…
