Agreed, this seller is a bit of an arse. I love MR2s but wouldnt even bother to go look at this one. The ad has too many problems and has the word RARE capitalized entirely too often. If a seller is so lazy that they can’t even be bothered to take current photos of a car they’re trying to sell, you have to wonder what else they’ve been too lazy to do. Like, oil changes or any other maintenance? That alone should raise deal-killer red flags.

The stimulus is given as an advance on 2020 taxes. If the salesman’s salary drops, he should get the stimulus when he does his taxes. Also, in your hypothetical, the salesman’s partner could get a sizable stimulus check for the other 4 people in the household.

There is an expectation that those making >90k should have enough capital to set aside $$ to weather the storm also supporting a family of 5 on 100k a year? Seems tight unless you live in Nebraska or somewhere where cost of living is zilch.

With the pent up demand after the crisis eases in combination with the sharply reduced production of major manufacturers, will we see a sudden surge in used car sales?
