Mr. Ferret and I are planning to do a small civil ceremony with a few close friends/family in attendance, then go out and have a nice dinner afterward. No traditional reception. If the older sister only did this because her younger sister was engaged and she wanted to “beat her,” that’s pretty weird. But I don’t see

That is a lot of people you are asking to stand up and make themselves unemployable. With such weak unemployment welfare to cushion them when they fall too. It ain’t gonna happen without some fundamental changes.

The last time I went job hunting, fully half the applications asked for your Facebook profile. I can’t for the life of me figure out how this is legal. Seriously- How the fuck is this legal?

If you are asked an illegal question, and you are not secretly taping the interview, then suck it up and answer it. In this economy you can’t afford not to, and unless you are taping it (which is probably illegal, it is in most jurisdictions) it is your word against the interviewer who only has to say that another

Your article fails to take into account the imbalance between interviewer and interviewee. You can refuse to answer whatever you want, but it will mean you’re not getting that job and there won’t be any way to prove it’s because you declined to answer an improper question.

The other part which you mention in passing is

I see this as helping Toyota, but not really helping Mazda.

Don't drag the dude from Möterhead into this.

Yeah, my son is only 3, but when I got home from work last night, he was playing with Hot Wheels. As I walked in the door, I heard him say "And across the line!"

The demise of Top Gear is really hitting our household hard. My weekly Monday night tradition with my 5 year old son is watching Top Gear. It is one of the primary reasons he is so into cars. We will really miss watching the program each week and it is especially hard since there was no warning.

Clarkson can often behave like a childish asshole, but that is exactly what we need in this overly politically correct world. Especially on a state owned TV like BBC (that doesn't even want to upset terrorists by calling them what they are, instead calling them militants).

The fact that he offends is why I watch. I like that he pokes those sensitive people and gets them irritated.

I wonder what Clarkson's reaction to all of this is .....

Some say his veins are already filled with ice water.

The toucan and those ospreys who built a nest on a Maryland traffic cam should do a sitcom together. He can be their wacky foreign neighbor who comes over all the time.

That's a good point. I should have specified that ^US medical providers ... there are only four venomous snakes in the US, and of those the advice is the same: keep extremity heart-level, transport to ED.

Depends on the snake and type of venom! In Australia the advice in the chart to simply "evacuate" certainly will not help you as you want to be keeping your pulse down.

"It's important to note that, according to housing authorities, Missouri does not have any laws regarding disclosure and that Travis' mother had no legal responsibility to tell McGha about the murders. Still, this story makes me think that there should be public service announcements for such things." What's
