Just breed a few of your version exclusives, and rename one of them to the counterpart in your non-played game (i.e. “LarvitarPlz”). Then do a random online trade if there is no GTS (like sword/shield allows random online trade). Throw in your named one until they put the pokemon you want in the window since there is

I feel like at this point they could’ve stealth update the game to read as Mario Kart 9 and we would all be none the wiser.

Okay, but hear me out. One tournament that’s just four versions of Rainbow Road. Pleeeeeease.

BDSP was developed by the studio that develops Pokémon home. They are the source.

I’m not so sure Pikachu is a “pre-order” specific item. Yes, the page is titled “pre-order” but all the text says “early purchase” and limits getting Pikachu to through the end of February 2023. It sounds like their usual “buy the game in the first quarter it’s available and get a special Pokemon” thing.

You've got the entire list repeated. Also, Persian, Dragonair, and Dragonite were seen in the trailer.

Ari does this a lot, and I don’t like to rag on the Kotaku writers usually but this is just dumb. The Magnemite line has been steel and electric for 23 YEARS, the game and many, many Pokemon are completely different than it was back then. Does Ari really think the original generation had everything right?? LOL Also,

The dreaded Megearna can be obtained by completing the Alola Pokédex in Pokémon Sun and Moon

It was the first boss I fought in the new DLC so I just assumed maybe they were doing themed knockout banners for each boss or something, lol.

This DLC is so good. It’s $8 for like 7 boss fights and 5 or 6 challenge levels. Definitely worth the wait and they could have probably gotten away with charging more for that content. Also, playing the base game with the new charms/gimmicks is super fun too and game-changing.

I’ll start this by saying that anyone is free to feel insulted by whatever they feel insulted by. But I - an Asian-American living in a third world country - really think this criticism is stretching a bit.

I actually don’t think using a real life aesthetic makes you have “a responsibility to grapple with its history.” I see the rice hat idea is being a bit more questionable, but “they didn’t insert a painful history lesson about a real life community (that had nothing to do with the story of their game)“ is... a plus?

Yeh, my understanding is that slut-shaming is like... calling a woman a slut / saying she has less “value” because she chooses to flaunt / use her sexuality in a way that someone finds objectionable. I don’t think it’s “slut-shaming” Quiet to say that the disembodied camera bouncing between her taint and her boobs is

I have always taken issue with the discourse around Quiet which always just sounded to me like slut-shaming.

slut shaming is something done to actual women, not oversexualized female characters made by and for men. criticizing quiet’s design is criticizing the men who made her, not quiet herself

Please check the spelling of the evolution name of psyduck

Excuse me, it’s “Gastly” not “Ghastly”. Just what kind of reporting is this? I have half a mind to take my Goldfuck and leave.

Every Pokémon is someone’s first. It’s like kids are born every day or something, and they eventually get exposed to Pokémon. Then you have the nostalgia thing players (myself), and then there’s the first people that actually try to collect them all and battle others.

“Pelipper, a pelican Pokémon saddled with perhaps the weakest type matchup: water-flyin”
If it doesn’t include grass, ice, or rock, it’s not the weakest type combination.

Magnemite, which ruled when it was just electric-type but is slightly less awesome now that it’s part steel-type too”
My friend, you do not know as

They added a lot more, but still not all. I think there’s something like 600 available now?
