Oh dear.

Raichu fans, rise up!

I bought the Super Nt but entirely as a luxury purchase, as I prefer to play SNES games on my 3DS now. But an N64? That I would actually use. Excited for this one!

Nice one, Sonny!

Nothing of value was lost.

Was super excited about the viking game at first. Got 80 hours in and only explored half the map. Pushed an extra 20 hours and realized I was just not having fun anymore. The world is gorgeous and all, but geez is it just too damn big and too damn repetitive. Also the quality of sidequests varies so wildly you can

> At times, playing Mirage, it almost felt like I was playing a modern remake of the original Assassin’s Creed. [...] Ubisoft has seemingly, for the first time in a while, resisted the siren’s call that leads to its open-world action games being completely papered over in map markers, locations, and quests.

Geezus this is a deeply uninformed article, as evidenced by this:

Ethan are you a Tottenham fan? #COYS

I am putting so much faith in this being a return to the old school. I even have the collectors edition preordered; yikes!

They already said this is just a semi-spinoff (a la Rogue) and they’re still working on the next big rpg.

> Unlike a certain someone, Final Fantasy VII will never die.

According to Axios, part of the reason Immortals 2 was canned was so that Ubisoft could focus on established IP like Assassin’s Creed Red.

The name is dumb but I had a LOT of fun with the game. Yes it borrowed liberally from BotW, but the map was packed with puzzles and whatnot, a la an N64-era platformer.

Here I was saying how I can’t possibly play AC Mirage, Spider-Man, and AW2 at the same time, so I have to pick one (maybe two) and will save money on the third by getting it on sale later. And studios responded by spacing things out. No! Bad studios! Don’t encourage my bad decisions!

Why yes I do. And yes, I remember I was one of those complainers (iirc you yelled at me for even using the term). But that’s when I was in denial and wasn’t looking at the big picture. Now I’m annoyed when they keep adding old Pokemon via DLC and whatnot.

It didn’t! It was just “Star Wars” when initially released. The Ep 4 and New Hope titles weren’t added until after Empire Strikes Back.

100% this. I was extremely disappointed with how we didn’t even get a full arc, and instead of resolving anything it had the nerve to drop a new conflict at the “end”. Although the arc that was completed was Gwen’s, which makes me wish the film was fully entered on her with Miles as the B plot.

> but really the games exist to introduce and promote new monsters in the IP.

Difference being, Pokemon games are solely about printing money. They already build hype, and polishing doesn’t matter when sales always go through the roof.
