Finally, the Pokemon equivalent to BotW and Mario Odyssey! What we may have gotten if Gamefreak believed in the Switch from the start.

I’m shocked Gamefreak actually opted to do this, since I thought they stopped caring about the mainline games.

It’s only a matter of time now...

WHY WON’T THEY TAKE MY MONEY NOW?!?!*

Just wait for the complete release on Switch (and then inevitably PS4/5).

Please don’t speak #2 into existence. How dare you, Indy.

> if they were to straight up remake/overhaul vanilla FFVII with those graphics and style I would buy it in half a heartbeat.

Played most of the Final Fantasies but agreed. And yet I will absolutely play the original with that graphical upgrade.

Oh I got this, having recently read Hickman’s Ultimate Marvel stuff.

Yeah, if the HD version ever comes out for Switch I definitely recommend giving it another shot. The original WW was a rollercoaster: I loved the first half but absolutely hated the second. When I finally got a Wii U I picked up the HD version primarily to try Zelda with the inventory second screen. But then I

2011 and I’ll never forget it. Portal 2 in the middle of the year; Infamous 2 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution over the summer; and then a rapid firing of Arkham City, Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Skyward Sword, and Uncharted 3 for the fall into winter. Wowza!

WHYYYYYYY

Like many, my first Zelda was Ocarina of Time. The series seemed daunting at first, but since then I’ve slowly and kinda accidentally played every game in the series (except for Four Swords/Adventure). I’m pretty sure this is the only long-running series I can say that for, and that’s kinda wild.

Why you gotta age us like that :(

“lol what’s Metroid” - Nintendo

I love BotW, but I can’t rank it among other Zeldas because it’s so different. And I hate saying that because I definitely defend BotW as being a Zelda game at heart. But I find unstructured open world games difficult to compare to other genres.

> I’m 32, and I still remember the first time I played FF4 at the tender age of 6 and started jumping off the couch, imitating Kain.

iirc because of how the autosave works you can’t even copy files!

Yes to the vibes. But the final game, at least, did not live up to that. It wasn’t really a Zelda-style open world; instead it was super linear with no real sidequests.

Star Fox Adventures: the first game I ever preordered, and also the first game I ever sold back. Huge disappointment for me.
