...yes.
...yes.
The new Smash character is Mother 3. And its special is letting you play Mother 3. Sakurai discovered a loophole to give the people what they want.
It’s almost like Odyssey. I use ‘almost’ because Bowser’s Fury was clearly made with the 3DW engine, so although you can freely spin the camera around in any direction, your zoom is limited.
Also one of the ten! As I said above, it was well received but not considered a console-mover. Hell, I didn’t become one of the ten until Mario Kart 8 came out and Gamestop had a promotion. SM3DW looked cool but it alone wasn’t enough to get me to buy a Wii U.
iirc it was kinda “meh” because after the Wii U release title of New Super Mario Bros. U (oy...), people wanted something Galaxy-level to make up for it. So it was considered a solid game, just not one that would move consoles.
> As the decade went on, Luigi’s only real character development was to become Mario but slightly more difficult to control.
Just want to point out that Nintendo never does much with re-releases. Especially not from what we’ve seen with Wii U ports to Switch. They throw in some addition to justify the full price tag but that’s about it.
You kinda backed up OPs point here. Warp whistles are there exactly so you can beat it in a single session.
Interestingly, SM3DW levels are pretty short if you’re just racing to the end. The time is in finding the green stars and stamp.
> disillusioned and disappointed that 3D World a) isn’t a 3D world, and b) feels like a rehash of every other 2D Mario I’ve already played enough thanks
Oh it’s canon. It just got instantly outclassed.
I still need to beat Trials. I’m at the final battle I think? I’m real streaky with the game, although I enjoy it when I’m on a roll.
> I’m at the “let’s get this over with” stage
Did you 100% Hollow Knight? I should go back and fight the true final boss. And do the DLC. But returning to a metroidvania after being away from it for awhile is the epitome of “I have no memory of this place”.
This is a cold cold take. Hell, I was told to skip AC1 when AC2 came out.
Wow! This is ambitious! That’s a lot of game.
The most important news of the day, hands down (lolz).
I quit Witcher 3 after spending hours in the tutorial area and then discovering how big the actual world was. And the number of sidequests. And the number of options. I said, lolnope, I don’t have time to dedicate to this shit.
For the second time in just as many game deliveries, Amazon has left an empty envelope on my porch. I get the delivery notification, go outside, and it’s just an open envelope sitting there. And because I grab it right when I get the notification I have a hard time believing some passer-by is robbing me that quickly.…
The option to make any equipment look like any other equipment is so clutch. Every game of this sort needs it. Now I don’t have to sacrifice function for style!
