This looks really freakin cool, but I cant help but get the feeling the folks in the video are stepping soooo carefully as to not fall over. If someone accelerates to walking, there is a counter deceleration by the treadmill, and then in reverse they stop walking, so they feel an acceleration under them by the…
I’ve played the original first two levels of TR a bunch of times as a kid, but had no save cartridge so we didn’t get far at all. FINALLY as a grown ass adult in 2021 I played through TR on Saturn start to finish. Really spectacular game.
This is WAY more interesting of a midcycle refresh than a “pro” console. This form factor needs to be seriously considered. Reminds me of backpack Wii U gamers at the airport camping out at outlets.
I did not realize it was being hosted on steam itself. Honestly, thats crazy. What’s the benefit? Users are just downloading a rom that’ll get on an evercart or an N64 emulator anyways. Now I’m even more confused! Leave a project like that on github where it belonged!!
*scratches head even harder*
I would love for a lawyer to break down how an individual who isn’t a valve employee creating an executable that processes assets to produce a rom that plays on a 30 year old Nintendo console puts valve on the hook for potential Nintendo litigation. If the laws really worked this way as he says, where any stranger…
What a wonderful model that other game devs should imitate!!
The framing of this article is about what people dislike, but I honestly read this as a feel good piece. I just love that there’s so much diversity in gaming in terms of game types. People are complaining about game types they don’t understand, this just means there’s different types of people out there who have…
This was my gaming resolution a few years ago and it’s really been a boon for me. Especially with this gen providing more 60fps options that are done well, the aspects of extra PC hardware I’m missing out are in the margins, like texture resolution and special post processing effects.
So when this comes out and then has better graphics than the last of us part 1, will the remaster the last of us part 1 again?
Honestly amazing feature. This could be used for any reason, not just porn.
I had the same surprising reaction in Forspoken (ya, that Forspoken). The fast travel is instant, and sometimes I’ll think I actually didn’t fastravel when I unpause.
Slim, you say?
Listen man I didn’t read your article for one simple reason, you told me straight away that any mixed feelings I have about FFXVI aren’t valid.
“Daisy is playable!” I love how this is a bullet point all by itself. As a budding Daisy stan, I love to see her rocketing popularity.
I didn’t know what to expect after I had my first kid, but I’ll say that I still don’t like mobile games and I’d rather play nothing at all then replace the games I like with phone games.
I do hope they find a way to offer a 40fps mode, that’s a real sweet spot for bang for your buck, if you can’t hit 60.
Listen maybe these story missions are junk and short. Who knows. But yanno I’d much much much rather a dev get monetization incentives from making content that is actual gameplay instead of hats and voice lines.
The real kicker to 30fps with modern games is that the input latency can feel really crummy. I see some comparisons to Zelda botw/totk, and while true that game wears its 30fps well, I think this is down to Nintendo working how to keep input latency down.
I feel like the ramp and falling ball is a big tell on the solution. Like, why would there be a *ball* and a *ramp* and a *target* in this room?
