My guess is that they'll allow pseudonyms, but only if you tie the pseudonym to a real name. You'll be allowed to have fake accounts, but only if google is allowed to know who you really are. (Yes, I know how untenable this is, but that's my guess as to what they'll do.)

Heh, LH needs to do a "hive five" for google calendar to outlook synchronization ... :)

Exactly. I'd be surprised if the original devs still work for Amazon.

I hope I'm wrong, but Amazon really has no incentive/reason to fix stanza.

I don't know if it'll work for everyone, but at least one person was able to recover (all? most?) of his apps, settings, media, etc., by reconnecting and doing a sync.

Yea, but having all those dogs stuck to your windows hurts your gas mileage.

I hope that gets fixed, but it's not likely.

Lots of people are having problems with this, and it appears to be somehow related to bonjour. You need bonjour to be installed and active, although this should have been automatically done when you installed/upgraded iTunes. (iPhones and iPads appear and disappear from bonjour. If bonjour sees it, iTunes

After the upgrade, iTunes can take a couple of hours or more restoring apps, music, videos, and more. The iPad will appear to be alive and functional during this time, and there's only a small dialog box on the PC, telling you about the restoration. If you foolishly disconnect the iPad during this time, you're going

You'd be amazed at how many people find "following the directions" challenging ...

Yow, it took well over an hour to restore the apps, and now it's restoring the music and videos. Ow, ow, ouch.

If you have any significant number of apps, note that the "restoring iPhone apps" part will take a LONG time. I think mine's been ongoing for close to an hour. (And, yes, I can tell that the process isn't hung — new icons slowly appear in the iPhone as the apps get installed.)

Flavored oils, like garlic-infused oil, should also be refrigerated, because the botulism bacteria can grow in them (and please note that botulism-contaminated food does NOT smell or taste different).

Deleting and reinstalling made it work. :(

I'm sure it does. Crashes like this are generally indicative of an uninitialized variable, sigh.

Well, that's a joke. On my iPad, it starts up and immediately dies (goes back to the home screen). It never leaves the blue facebook startup screen. I've even tried rebooting the iPad, but that doesn't change anything.

In general, the IBM researchers are right. Searching is usually faster, and a big problem with folders is their organization and maintenance (e.g., sometimes, a message belongs in multiple folders, and placing a message in multiple folders is often painful enough that it's never properly done).

Please keep in mind that "handwriting" on the iPad is still a lot like drawing with a small crayon, even with a stylus like the Adonis Jot. It works, but takes some getting used to. Also, pen pressure can be an issue; it's very easy to accidentally lessen up on the pen pressure, and get nothing drawn on the screen.

Notes Plus has a nearly identical palm rest, with very similar features. Personally, I prefer Notes Plus because I feel the UI is less cumbersome and easier to use.

I prefer Notes Plus. While it doesn't have evernote syncing, you can export PDFs to dropbox, google docs, and iTunes, and you can also backup the internal database to dropbox. Best of all, you can write small text in narrow lines — Noteshelf drove me crazy since it insists on using widely-spaced lines. You can also
