Winnar!

AT&T? In previous years, AT&T would allow people on 2-year plans (primary line only on family plans) to upgrade after 20 months or so, instead of the usual 24 months. Some people were able to get the cheaper upgrade pricing after even less time, but it was unclear why AT&T was allowing that.

They're not going to do the public release tomorrow, as the GM hasn't even been released to developers. Tomorrow, they might do a release candidate GM for developers, but that's about it. The public GM is likely at least a week away, and more likely 2+ weeks.

Believe it or not, during major news events (e.g., Katrina, Japan Tsunami, etc.), Fark is one of my go-to places. There's typically one or two threads where people post the most up-to-date information, along with the occasional analysis. It's like having an automatically-created news aggregator/concentrator for that

Heh, you've drawn the attention of the Eye of Fark. Expect Fark to be greatly upvoted, as was the poll in the attached picture (look for the "clown sweater", and consider what site that is).

Perhaps it's because we live in a somewhat dry area, but we've never had this problem. However, the sponge gets used multiple times daily, and it's squeezed fairly dry before being put away.

Nope, my copy of Adblock Plus was both missing from the addons list and not working. That's how I found out about this — ads started popping up in my windows. After reinstalling it, everything's fine.

I generally copy the driver files and pdf manuals into evernote. That way, everything's in one place that's accessible from virtually everywhere. This does, however, assume that the driver files are under the 50MB (premium) evernote attachment limit. Fortunately, most driver files, once 7-zipped, are well under

Be careful. The low-end color laser printers seem to be going the same route as inkjets. My color laser printer cost somewhere around $150, but a full replacement set of toner cartridges costs around $240 (plus tax & S&H). Granted, I'm able to print a lot more pages compared to an inkjet, but the cost of

Hehe, just make sure you use the 3M nuclear grade duct tape ...

Lots of things can affect that, such as:

Also, a much cheaper alternative to the "entertainment bridge" would be a simple wifi bridge and a cheap LAN switch/hub. Yes, that's a two-power-plug solution, but would be significantly cheaper than $99.

If you can, you might want to use a different SSID on the extender (assuming this is supported). If the wifi device has trouble distinguishing between the AP and the extender, using a different SSID should hopefully eliminate the problem.

Aluminum is dissolved by acids, and beer is acidic. They line the cans for holding acidic foods.

I believe replacing him with meg would be an even greater disaster.

While legendary Fark threads seem to pop up every 1-2 years, pretty good ones still pop up once a month or so, and the daily threads are still pretty amusing.

Try using evernote for this. An offline notebook works.

I use an evernote notebook for this. There's no need for yet another app/website for this.

Meh. Trackthis ([www.usetrackthis.com] ) tracks packages for free, and will send me updates via SMS, twitter, Facebook, or email. If I use a twitter smartphone app, I can even get push updates.
