It sounds like, in this case, it was kind of sloppily written, and while yes, it should be applauded for including trans people, it could have been handled better. It DOES seem kinda oddly shoehorned in just for the purpose of making a point. It would have been better handled the way, say, Dragon Age handles sexuality…
