There is nothing okay with just assuming a city conquered by rebels is only full of sympathizers, and no civilians.

Again, if the US wanted Assad gone, he would already be gone. It wouldn’t be that hard. But it’s probably just as disgusting as Russia deciding that Ukraine didn’t need 20% of its territory.

This is a crazy conspiracy theory. The war started when Assad’s police started firing into crowds of protesters. This is a matter of public record. The Syrian people themselves started it after Assad cracked down on peaceful protests.

There are much fewer Sunnis in the areas that are currently under Assad’s control. There are many more Druze, Alawites, Christians, etc.

I, for one, am quite glad that we did not nuke Berlin.

Yeah, I really fear that a taboo is being broken, and the kinds of services they provide might be effectively done in war zones.

Ultimately, that is what has to happen. And the territory that Assad controls now would no doubt vote for him in an election. (That’s how he controls it now)

I don’t believe Hitler intended on killing all Slavs (Russians, Poles, etc.), he just intended on using them for slave labor. Not that that is much better.
