Were the Indians also the only source a few years back for the “Flankers shot down F-22s everytime” story?

The worst part is that the Navy still doesn’t have a coherent plan (or even, really, the coherent will) for tackling even current subsurface threats, least of all future threats.

For that matter, a Navy Growler shot down an F-22 at Red Flag. But that doesn’t mean I want Grizzlies flying BARCAP.

Not old. Though they’re using the same basic technology as WWI and WWII boats, the Kilos were kind of the start of a new, modern, quiet-ish wave of SSKs. And the Russians were kind enough to export them all over the world, to lovely people like the Chinese and Iranians.

Unless this target was heavily surrounded by populated civilian areas, if it’s a genuine Daesh target, I wonder why it hasn’t been hit yet? Is it a Daesh target that Russian intelligence knew about but not western? Most Daesh targets that would be vulnerable to cruise missiles were presumably flattened very early on…
