You sad fool. So you drove one poorly calibrated, small engine volvo diesel and want to cast aspersions on all of them?

2004 Grand Prix GTP will do 158.
I have often thought of doing the Texas mile in well maintained stock mainstream car. No sports car, more like an Accord. Legally speeding.....just to see how high I could before the end of the mile. Is it worth a few hundred dollars though?
Much like your username, bad takes abound.

I mean wheelies do mean that 100% of the weight is on the back tires, but it is a fine line
Both are common enough to be considered correct. Language is malleable, my dude.
Electric hot rodding is cool but it currently takes a fairly unique set of skills. Cars can be dangerous but electric drivetrains can kill you a lot easier then IC ones can, at least from a modders perspective. The learning curve is steep and a lot of the normal safety protocols are dissimilar. High voltage respects…
Haha! Before he passed away, I drove my great-grandfather home from a family function in my JK. He remarked to me, “I didn’t know a Jeep could drive this smooth!” He had ridden around in MB’s in Europe and had a surplus one for several years after the War. Anybody else who gets in it thinks it’s rough.
I tried to…
Cadillac’s Situation Continues To Escalade
I *strongly* recommend one. I don’t see myself ever selling this car; it is a lot of fun. When Kristen etc were here, I mentioned to them the advantage of this car is, while the GT6 itself is unique.. it is almost entirely parts from either a Spitfire or a TR6.. so stuff is easy to get and pretty cheap. It’s also very…
I’m “the owner”.. It was great sharing the car with the Jalopnik crew! If anyone has any specific questions I’ll keep an eye out here.

I’ve long said that for the sake of fun, “slow car fast” is always best. Get yourself some low powered shitbox, work the hell out of the suspension, give it sticky tires and drive it at 11/10ths everywhere. You don’t have to worry about the powertrain reliability issues that come with making big power and can instead…
“Maybe the driver is a monster.”
Easy answer: GM should design and produce better looking, higher quality parts for a car that wants to eat at the big kids table. The margins exist. It’s a matter of desire and dedication to being better, or in this case, the lack thereof.
Nah. Not one bit. I just have fun giving GM a hard time for not liking Jalopnik in general. You’d understand the snark if you knew the history.
Eh, 320i drivers you’re probably right on. 335i usually are enthusiasts more so than not. I beat my F30 up every time I drive it and judging by the aftermarket support, more BMW drivers care than Mercedes.
