I’m a long-time happy owner of a YJ. My first car actually. Drives like a tractor, feels eons closer to a CJ-2A than a JK, and I love it dearly.

I think it’s help those who help themselves. If I see someone on the side of the road and I see that they’re actively trying to get themselves out of it(i.e. hood up, jack out) or something is really gone wrong like a blown radiator I’m more likely to stop.
Vent windows are the best. I could tolerate the worst of Alabama summers in an ‘82 F150 with just vent windows and a slider in the back.
Thanks for the info!
I’m halfway competent with a wrench and will hopefully graduate in the next year with a mechanical engineering degree. I want something funky, odd, and old for a second fun vehicle. I love the look and sound of small British GT cars (your GT6, MG GT), so would you recommend one after owning it or should I look for my…
This is both bizarre and sad. When I was a kid my parents used to take me there, and it was almost wall to wall. I think the last one I was at was the 2006 show, and the big debuts were the Challenger and Camaro concepts. It’s a shame to see it go downhill like it has, but hopefully moving it to summer will help.
I quite enjoy your title to this review. I feel like this can be applied to most (if not all) GM vehicles, meaning they do everything to cut the costs.
As for me and my 15"s, we will deflect the sidewalls
Props to your dad. I hope no one took it as I was taking a dig at base-model BMW owners, I would much rather have an F30 than my current POS. I just see way too many of the base models that fit that stereotype around me.
Not meaning to sound like a Debbie Downer, but I can’t wait to see the new ‘ultimate driving machine’ in white with the small wheels and an Alpha Chi Omega sticker in the back window around campus.
They’re such good looking cars...
I agree with Torch on the 2002, although just get the coupe and NOT something that wildly modified.

Fun fact: the Rendezvous had independent rear suspension, whereas the Aztek had a torsion beam (both in the 2WDconfig. the Aztek AWD had IRS).
I’m getting mid 2000s Alfa Romeo 156/Brera vibes from this design, and that’s a very good thing.
Once again, GM creates an engine with rock-solid internal components, but highly questionable electric bits.
Let me begin; this guy is a dick.
This almost sounds like a sub-brand in the making, like Ram (it’s still a Dodge, guys).
I’ve been wondering how the EcoSport drove. I saw them a few years ago when I took a trip to Peru and they looked pretty sweet on tiny BFG All-Terrains.
I saw the Veilside RX7 without the bodywork molded in, tried to scroll all the way down here to say that, then see:
