Can I just get this in the camouflage and mismatched wheels?
Can I just get this in the camouflage and mismatched wheels?
Younger than that, but agreed. (Thanks Mom!)
I’m a firm believer in the Italian tune-up. Just today, I rapped my 3.8 powered Pontiac to 5500 rpm or so because it was idling funny, trans was shifting strange, and I felt like it. Might not have done anything, but it feels great to put the hammer down sometimes.
I think the Jag (Jaaaaaaaag) is awfully close to this, but the vents in the lower front fenders take away from it IMO.
That really sucks. I always thought that the Kizashi was where Suzuki started to come up into the big leagues of car manufacturers so to speak, then they just fell off in America. I’m glad they’re soldiering on elsewhere.
Me too. I didn’t see many when they were new, but seeing one now gets me excited. In the past ~6 months I’ve seen one and I almost took a picture.
It felt wrong to listen to this song without a cigar. Good choice
I think you’re right on the money with autonomy. I have a friend on the team that’s working on automated systems. One of the sponsors is MathWorks, so all of the code is going to be written in Matlab. Maybe once I get out of this hell of a semester I’ll rejoin the team.
I forgot how beautiful this car is/was. I can’t think of anything from any manufacturer that has exuded this kind of elegance since.
Same. I spent much too long trying to make a belt tensioner fit in that insanely cramped engine bay. Since everybody really overbuilt their assignments on that car, spare room was scarce.
I’m thinking weight distribution. Weight of the cage + ICE = Electric motor + batteries. Depending on how they set up the AWD, they may have set it up for electric front wheel drive and gas rear wheel drive.
That sounds like a very healthy K20. Love the combined whine of the supercharger and electric motors
Hey, I worked on EcoCar3 for Alabama! We had the new Alpha platform Camaro so that was cool to work on and modify to a hybrid. I think we ended up having similar torque numbers to the SS and similar hp to the V6 with a 2.4 Ecotec out of a Equinox and 2 electric motors.
It’s just smart to do. I had a Jeep with a whole 95 horsepower and I did enough stupid stuff in that thing with an open diff and broken transmission, I couldn’t imagine if I had over 250 hp or something that could go comfortably over 60 mph.
Very good point. The only two I can think of is the Miata (always the answer) and maybe the Cayman.
I was not aware of their outboard engines being automotive engines, but that’s pretty cool.
It looks - fat.
The 302 2-bbl engines were indeed pigs. But t-tops!!
Honda is starting to grow on me as a brand in general. They make appliances, sure, but these guys don’t screw around. The same brand that makes the soccer mom Pilot also builds the Accord with a Civic Type-R engine and a 6-speed. And now they built a full size side-by-side because they wanted to (and have a SEMA car). …
I completely agree with you on that. Thankfully I haven’t needed the extra protection that more modern vehicles offer, but I’m looking forward to driving something a little more substantial than my old Jeep and crappy early 2000s GM cars.
