YES! More importantly, actual steel can go a long way to protect you and your vehicle. I smacked a Toyota Solara in the rear with my Jeep at around 15 mph (she was stopped in an acceleration/right turn lane). Her rear bumper cover, driver rear fender, and trunk lid were effectively destroyed. The Jeep? Bent the tube

If you’re looking at the ability to upgrade, then Toyota has Ford, Chevy, Dodge beat. I think that as a brand, they have as solid of an aftermarket as Jeep, which is saying a lot.

There was a black ‘65 or ‘66 T5 fastback on BaT a few months ago. Probably went for way higher than it was worth, but still an interesting tidbit of automotive history.

Nevermind, I didn’t read the rest of the comments saying the exact same thing. Carry on!

They could’ve used the LS4 (transverse 5.3) drive train out of the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, Impala and Monte Carlo SS, Buick Lucerne, etc.

Yeah, but there should be a clutch in the car. I.E. Jerico 4-speed, sequentials as you’ve mentioned, dog-boxes, etc. Heck, even I can float from 3-4 in my thrashed Jeep without clutch disengagement.

There has only been one instance where I have been pissed at someone flashing their brights at me. I was cruising at about 85 using the left lane only to pass. Person in front of me was going a little slower, maybe 82-83, so I check my mirrors and start to pass. Out of nowhere, an F250 is on my tail flashing his

I would give you a star but you’re at 69, so I’ll refrain. I totally agree with you. After owning cars from 100-200 hp, I would say that you don’t need any more than that to do generic, day-to-day driving. I have a delightfully garbage 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix with the 3.8, 200 horsepower, cruises on the highway at

An addendum, if I may

A quick nationwide Auto Tempest search and no dice. Thieves are scumbags. I really hope these guys find their Ford.

A lot of the discrepancy between Dothan and Birmingham is due to the demographics of the people living there. Birmingham has a lot of money, so yeah more trucks but luxo-trucks, as well as the lower/mid luxury brands would sell there. Dothan is not as wealthy of an area as Birmingham, so more 5-10 year old economy

Yeah, I am surprised they left the rear door cards in, the stereo, headliner, etc. Also I thought that Fifteen52s were pretty weighty wheels...

R33 in Midnight Purple was my go-to car back when I played Forza.

Yeah, but this isn’t a car for ‘car people.’

From what I read, it’s the starter. I imagine it’ll kick in to help fill the low end torque by sending power through the crank.

It depends. If they’re wanting the E-Torque system to act as a starter, then I assume yes. I wouldn’t imagine they would have a massive Li-Ion battery pack AND a battery in the engine bay. I’ve been wrong before though.

When I was looking for a new beater, I looked at a couple of old ladies’ Camrys. I figured if they could live off of bare minimum maintenance and have only been driven a 100k or so, I could catch them and keep them maintained ‘til I graduated/paid off student loans.

Finally, some good cleaning tips! I have always heard/been taught that carnauba was a the last bit to give the paint a wet look (I think it was Larry from Ammo).

if we’re gonna go Ford, go full Ford and buy the 3.0 AWD Lincoln MKZ. It doesn’t matter if it’s more than twice his budget. It’s got 400 horsepower, AWD, and it looks like Grandma’s car. The sleeper SHO.
