The thing is, you gotta know people. None of these guys at SEMA, or the homebuilt cars you see at Autorama got there without friends. You’ve got to have a body man, a parts guy, the list goes on. If not, then sure you’ll be out a couple hundred thousand.

Sometimes I wish that Lexus would use their surplus of engines. A hot 5.7 iForce would be pretty really good in the body of the LC500

The NSX is cool. The LFA is cool. Neither Lexus nor Acura cares that I think their supercars are cool, because I can’t afford them and I don’t know anyone that can.

Those cars were/are unassumingly fast. My mom had one for 9 years, and that car would move.

I had the pleasure of visiting this track a couple of years ago. Porsche Club had an event, but everyone ran. It was pretty cool to see (and hear) the air-cooled variants flying past, especially when they were being chased by a couple of Mustangs. Super cool people there. It’ll be a crying shame if this is what does…

My Cavalier Z24 has 150 and is more than adequate. It is also 2600 pounds. P/W is key in this equation

I agree with Mann on her view that it would most likely be seen as a sideshow to the main event, whether that be NASCAR, F1, or NHRA. I also agree that if a woman is just as fast as a man, races just as cleanly as a man then she should be able to compete in whatever motorsport of her choice.
