Well, the one thing that Trump has held up that follows the general conservative mindset is small government, or at least the facade of small government. Loosening regulation and getting government out of people’s lives is a core value of conservatism, but we all know that Trump isn’t a true conservative, not in the

IIRC Dana sold independent setups back in the 60s-70s for the Jaaaaaag E-Type.

It’s just meh. I mean, look at Torch’s article a few days ago with the conglomeration of the NAIAS cars. The current Mustang fit the bill, but it still kept a little semblance of the previous generations. It just seems, in general, the Mustang is falling prey to the super-edges and pointed front fascia as every other

a ‘92 YJ with the weak sauce 4 banger will hit 97 EXTREMELY sketchily.

My mouth is wide open at the moment. The Wrangler needs solid competition anyways, so lets bring back the 60s and 70s in full swing and have domestic competition between the Big Three (now Chevy needs to bring out the K5 and we can be in business)

My condolences for spending any appreciable amount of time in the Southern Swelter-box that is the Southeastern US. Even now, on the 11th of January, it’s 64 degrees and 85% humidity. Not looking forward to the summer months of March-November where it is consistently 90 degrees with comparable humidity.

I got my YJ for 400 bucks as well. Mainly carries my butt to and from school now, but trying to keep it nice as it was a Cali truck for most of its life. Respect for the CJ and the Willys for sure.

Purists don’t buy because manufacturers fail them almost every time. The only company that I can recall from recent memory that built a decent, purist-driven product was Porsche with the 911, but now that has been tarnished through turbocharging the whole range and electronic nannies. Even the Jeep Wrangler has fallen

Well they put the Prius-spec tires on it for “mad drifts yo” so from the rear and front it looks like it’s on stilts. Also, with that skinny of a tire, the wheels don’t have a decent offset, making it look, well, bleh, on the side view.

I wish he would re-veal his secrets to the lasso.

Possibly stupid question, but is that the new Fiesta body style for ‘17? If so, it’s much more attractive than the outgoing...

Why does this picture make me want to go out and buy one of these? Great photo, whoever took it.

I was able to drive a MKV GTI and it was quite an experience. Going from a NA motor to a turbo was a completely different feel. It had me looking for one for a couple of weeks.

It’s crazy to think that 15 years ago this company was selling the frankly bulbous (but ridiculously comfortable) LeSabre. We had a beige on beige example.

That impact was impressive. Wonder what it would do to something like your Beetle, Torch.

I guess I’m late to the game, but I’d like to share my experience with too much power.

To pull from my grandfather’s and extended family’s stable:

I think that they’ll be pretty decent here. Hopefully they won’t encroach on the interior space very much. The Peru-spec (I guess that’s a thing?) has doors about as thick as my early 90's Jeep. Source: I’ve ridden in one as a taxi in Peru, and I own a early 90's Jeep.

Probably for a SEMA specific vehicle, has to be Jeeps. Nearly every one has been modified past the point of on road usefulness, not to mention diminished off road abilities.

It’s the principle, I think. There’s a major difference between my YJ and a sorority girl’s JK. Yeah, they have two doors, bulky design, and zero aerodynamically beneficial characteristics. But I don’t have nice coil springs, cushy seats, or A/C.
