So, Microsoft’s claim fails twofold - first, in comparing PC digital storefronts to console systems, and second, because they think that if Battle.net failed, everyone else also would.

Sh, we can’t expect people to read the article.

It’s 99% a throwaway account with a stolen credit card.

Most streamers say donos are non-refundable but they can’t really do anything about someone doing a charge back on a credit card.

Will they get banned?  Nope.  So they’re doing it.  For the lulz.  I’m not like on this guy’s side or anything, but that’s why trolls do things.

Not saying it’s not an asshole move, but the outrage probably gets him even more views.  That’s part of how the system works.

More like they did it because they’re an asshole. Tricking someone to look at a Rick Roll video is “for the lulz”, giving someone $2500 and then sayin nevermind and taking it back is a bullshit move that should get that user permabanned, especially since they’ve done this multiple times, apparently.

Looks like he’ll get that buzz cut back in less than a month. A pretty cheap way to learn the valuable lesson not to rely on the word of anonymous internet randos.

Scraping was once a black hat seo technique, now it’s a common practice powering the biggest tech companies. If search engines are providing “answers” instead of sending users to the source who actually wrote the answer, this could spell a death sentence to much of the web.

Seems like a better fix would be to bring back the utility of indexed search results in Google instead of functionally outsourcing it to Reddit.

This has been a somewhat ironic situation for me.

Uh no...Google has done that themselves.

“Value” It’s not value, you calling it value doesn’t make it so, Blizzard. You’re overcharging on those items, acting like you’re doing us a big favour when you’re taking a dump on us is laughable. I feel bad for people still engaging with this game.

Stuff like this is why I scratched my head a little over complaints of Cyberpunk’s Phantom Liberty’s cost at $30.  Yeah, you get better value paying twice that for a full game, but it’s still such a better model than how the service model works.

The wording makes it sound like this will be free to play for a limited time, but you can pay $15 to “own” the missions and continue to replay them as much as you want. Is that incorrect?

....at least it’s cheaper than one skin, right guys?

Yeah no, fuck off with that.

Huh... now if it was just 10 and gave the story missions unlock and skin, it would be no different than if you bought the battle pass outright and got free bonuses, I guess. For the extra five bucks, I dunno, I kinda want to see how people feel about these missions when they launch and if the long awaited PvE in

Probably because you’re looking for art critics in a technical thread.

How come you are bringing art style to a discussion table of technical processes?
