Ha! I was not aware of this, and although I do not read print newspapers - I read more news than anyone I know personally - and listen to 1.5-2 hours a day (public radio) on my commute. There are plenty of people who are smart and well-read that pay no attention TIME's lists just like many people dont pay attention to

No probably not, but that is largely because none of their best players play in the domestic leagues (unlike a great deal of the USMNT) - and are already playing in leagues of the highest caliber against opponents that are often playing on national clubs.

Wow I wasnt aware of that. My knowledge of the rules mostly just extends to the field and some of the tournament rules. I figured it may be more in line with the IOC.

Well if we are being honest with ourselves IF Green turns out to be a superstar AND Germany is still the better team - dollars to doughnuts Green is going to play for Germany. Anyone that dedicates that amount of time/effort to anything is going to want that delicious taste of victory if its remotely possible - and

I wasnt meaning to denigrate Green's performance - which was about as good as it could have been, and much better than anyone had probably hoped for - just trying to frame it a bit more evenly.

If that is the case then we will have a bunch of tie breakers in the Group stages and a bunch of games resolved by PKs in Qatar.

I think that gives Green too much credit. He had fresh legs being subbed in so late and did a great job capitalizing on an opportunity. He didnt really have much more time to do anything more than that.

Can't really blame him. Most players have a hard time being rational - especially with something like the World Cup. FIFA really should be getting shamed for this.

There is nothing wrong with concision when it completely answers a question.

I feel like if Zusi hadnt had the wherewithall to cross that ball back in (for the Dempsey hip shot) he may actually rightfully be getting all of the derision directed at the USMNT. I was not impressed in the least - and one lucky play (though nice) doesnt really make up for a lot of mistakes and total missteps in the

Yes the first 15 or so minutes made me very worried for our prospects - not even just in that match but generally.

I agree with everything -except that he kinda did do something wrong on the missed goal opportunity. Granted it was a minor error - probably just being unaware of what was happening with defenders in the goal box - but I could just about guarantee he counts that as a mistake. Of course overall his play, along with

You should just understand that Gawker - and more generally probably all internet comments - are not meant for you. It has nothing to do with your ethnicity.

Stop derping so hard.

Its not nearly as terribly exaggerated at mid-levels. The curve def seems exponential though because top levels and OP levels in BL2 started to have huge stat gaps in both number and %increase.

Im not, but certain cases like Lance Armstrong are especially galling - not because he cheated - but because he ruined a lot of people's lives for telling the truth, even when it was painfully obvious for pretty much everyone that the truth was coming to light soon.

I forget that his vascularity is purely a product of strategic rubber band placement and not chemically induced. I stand corrected.

Too bad it came from the mouth of hypocrisy.

While our political views are probably pretty closely aligned - those opposing views are not not necessarily inherently invalid even if i dont agree with their premise/philosophy (as in there is some inherent subjectivity with regard to "moral issues").

Yeah its not "ruined." Anyone remotely familiar with the shows or books should know that anyone who is so cartoonishly evil (or Good for that matter) will almost certainly meet their demise.
