This is really more “falling unexpectedly through a failed trapdoor sucks”. The video shows he fell really hard, directly on his chest/abdomen (not sure why the article says he fell on his back), there’s no way anybody is taking that fall without some damage.

As a larger individual myself, I have no issue with the fat suit here. It’s not being used to transform a skinny person, it’s being used because it would be insane to have anyone actually gain 600 pounds.

I saw this play ten years ago at Playwrights Horizons here in the city - it’s a sensitive and heartbreaking story written about a gay man who has been broken by religious fundamentalism, written by a Mormon-country gay man whose many plays often tackle those themes.
