This is fucking Kundun erasure, this is.
“As Gates vocalizes in the episode, a relation to Pocahontas was a little bit of a Norton legend.”
Yeah, how strange to want to be able to drive out of your garage and onto the roads
And like the sleeping children hoping that the Sandman won’t conjure Garlin, Never Have I Ever can now count the actor as their problem.
Playing and enjoying video games has always been expensive. But this already pricey hobby is becoming even more expensive as we enter the era of $70 games. For many, $60 was already too much to stomach. Now games cost even more, and that’s not even factoring in taxes, potential DLC, or skins.
This is the exact plot of the movie “Moon” with Sam Rockwell.
It’s a really lovely and powerful song. He’s got quite a few really good soundtrack songs. My favorite is Lovetown from Philadelphia. It got overlooked cause of Springsteen and Neil Young but it goes toe to toe with both of them.
You know what I love in comedy?
seems as sincere as i’ve ever seen him. having watched all of his recent netflix stuff, this seems right in line with how he talks to and about the people he has on that show (people he admires or respects or finds interesting at least, according to the premise of the show!).
I’ve watched a ton of Letterman all the way back to his appearances on “Liar’s Club” with Larry Hovis and Allen Ludden. He’s my favorite. And while he can be cranky, this seems like a sincere apology from him. He flubbed it. He respects the shit out of comedians and funny people. I don’t think he thinks she was being…
The apology might be a little too much, but I think he sounds perfectly sincere. I’ve definitely over apologized for a thing if I carelessly did something that I then found out hurt someone. Especially getting a name wrong, which I’ve actually done far too often for my liking. Misnaming someone is almost entirely…
Careful, you’re venturing into nuanced thoughtfulness territory. This is the internet, we need all things reduced down to two distinct, opposing sides, like sports teams.
I would like to see us move away from automatic flag waving responses and really get into this. The entire spectrum of genderqueer people are badly served by taxonomic literalists that won’t accept any nuance between trans and and cis experiences.
Steve Carrell isn’t a good comparison nor is any celebrity who is famous for a non-VA role. Right or wrong, they’re being paid the big bucks because they’re famous for something other than voice acting. Studios believe that having them on-board helps with ticket sales.
Murray also stayed by Radner’s side until the end when she was dying, and they remained great friends up until her final moments. As noted elsewhere here, he also punched Chevy Chase and devastatingly called him a “medium talent” for being insanely terrible to the women on SNL. Maybe he’s a human being with flaws,…
This is really more “falling unexpectedly through a failed trapdoor sucks”. The video shows he fell really hard, directly on his chest/abdomen (not sure why the article says he fell on his back), there’s no way anybody is taking that fall without some damage.
As a larger individual myself, I have no issue with the fat suit here. It’s not being used to transform a skinny person, it’s being used because it would be insane to have anyone actually gain 600 pounds.
I saw this play ten years ago at Playwrights Horizons here in the city - it’s a sensitive and heartbreaking story written about a gay man who has been broken by religious fundamentalism, written by a Mormon-country gay man whose many plays often tackle those themes.
“so that makes it okay”
