Being a fan of the series but too young to play CE when it originally came out, I didn’t really *get* just how busted it was until I hopped into the playlists for the first game in the Master Chief Collection last year and realized I wasn’t hearing rifle shots at all.

This title, without a doubt, has the most lack luster set of new weapons. So many of them are mid-tier power weapons. If I go up against an AR with any of them the fight feels even. The Skewer shot is the only thing I’ll pick up b/c it 1 shots vehicles.

Nothing has been as OP as the Halo CE pistol. It was borderline game breaking in MP. I still find the Sidekick to be useless because of how many shots it takes. For me, Reach pistol was perfect.

God, I know I’m in the minority but there’s nothing I dislike more about classic Halo than how everything could feel like it revolved around the pistol. The pistol in CE is boring! Give me something more fun than that junk.

The Ravager is great it’s just that it’s best use in a way that no other Halo weapon is so it’s generally overlooked. It kills vehicle crews! Fire a charged shot at a Warthog, walk away like a badass and bask in your double or triple kill after about 10 seconds.

From firsthand experience, it is a very bad replacement for the DMR. The BR outclasses it at range, and unless you’re lucky enough to land multiple auto-fire headshots, the AR outclasses it at close range.

It’s more of a middle ground since it can fire full auto, but doing so destroys your shot accuracy.

Finding myself liking the Sidekick more and more. It feels better than most of the Magnums and it’s not so powerful as to have the entire game revolve around it. It’s an ideal sidearm for quickly pulling out to finish someone off.

I’ve found using the alt-fire AOE then switching to the sidearm is a great strategy. You can even get pretty easy double kills if you’re surprising enough.

Ravager is funky, you can use a single burst + melee to take out opponents (same as the Mangler, since they both do increased melee damage). I’ve also found that the AOE can be decent when placed on objectives, and that the primary fire is reliable for shredding shields.

As for getting kills with the Ravager itself,

I think the issue I have with Star Citizen isn’t so much the time it has taken or the amount of money. It’s that it has been in development for SO long that by the time it eventually releases in a complete fashion it will be entirely out dated. Look every video I have seen of it, it looks amazing, even though it is

This article doesn’t go far enough. You wrote a few memey paragraphs about waiting for the game that’s never coming out, when you COULD have written about how much of a massive scam it is, shaving millions in crowdfunding money with very little accountability or oversight, and how that’s indicative of the deep flaws

No, absolutely not! I paid these assholes money back in 2012 to create a game that was promised to be a new “Wing Commander” - not an overblown MMO. That game has now been renamed to “Squadron 42", and it is still lightyears away from release. So CIG has no right of getting a free pass from everyone. They promised

Consider yourself dusted. I played for probably 20 hours this weekend with my friends. I won't say it was bug-free, but overall had an absolute blast. You can argue semantics about wether it's "out" or not, but people have been playing and loving it for years.

I am not sure which games that “were in development for as long or longer than Star Citizen” we’re talking about. I guess maybe your statement that they are worse applies if we agree that the only game to qualify here is Duke Nukem Forever.

Your journey in this case is to a complete, fully functional product. You’re putting a pretty face on spending money on something that is buggy, lacking in many features and you have no real idea when any of those things will be resolved.

I absolutely love the bit in this article, pitch perfect.

It is out. What it isn’t, is complete. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that either.

It Is 2021. Star Citizen Has Raised $400,000,000, And Is Still Not Out.

I play it almost every day. The new patch introduced some interesting new mechanics. My org enjoys the game and playing with each other. There are a lot of people just like me. I'm sorry you don't enjoy it too.
