That’s not how a military chain of command. Just like in the opening, Poe didn’t trust in the older, wiser leader and people died because of it. Good character development.

Good point!

She learned there are more people like her, that Brenner isn’t dead (apparently), and how to harness her powers more effectively. And It’s clearly setting up threads for Season 3 and 4. Seems like a lot to me.

Okay, I’m rewatching Stranger Things 2 so I’ll be sure to pay closer attention, but it seemed to me that Brenner was clearly dead from the Demogorgon, and Kali and that lab mook just weren’t aware it had happened.

As usual, I loved the part that everyone hated. My hope for next season is more focus on Kali and the other kids from the lab. Maybe even no Upside Down enemies, just human foes trying to recapture the escaped psychics.

If you see an ICE vehicle, slash its tires.

I’m from Seattle. Two things:

Landis might be an asshole personally, but his scripts are on point. I would have probably seen that movie.

It is cool to see Mars, but I guess this means no Ganymede, or at least not yet. Seems like they’re going for a looser, Walking Dead style adaptation. Interested to see how it works out.

There’s a great book by anthropologist David Graeber called “The Utopia of Rules”, which has a great essay about how the bureaucratic mindset is curtailing scientific research, explained by exploring one question: why don’t we have flying cars?

My guess is that Marvel/Marvel Studios would say any of their properties are “in development” as a matter of course. That said, I would be overjoyed to have Blade back in the mix, especially if they did a team-up with Ghost Rider and Punisher.

Sure man, Low-Rent Hastur, whatever. This stuff would be a lot scarier if it was grounded in at least SOME sense of (para)logic or emotional weight or just some stakes. This thing is apparently ultra powerful and all it wants to do is dick around with some kids? You’ve got Outer God level power, apparently! Aim higher!

I think the trepidation comes down to two practical and un-sexy reasons: scheduling and contract negotiations.

I knew a girl in high school, who always sang this song. It was her favorite comedy song.

Aurebesh is the current galactic standard alphabet, but the language of Galactic Basic derives from a previous language which used the High Galactic alphabet, which looks a lot like our Roman alphabet. Think of it like the difference between block print and cursive script.

That...actually looks good.

So in your opinion, Volsemort would have made a better Minister than Fudge or Scrimgeour?

That was my interpretation.

Last picture, right above Walter’s head, is the sigil of the Crimson King. And all the people bowing their heads in creepy reverence? Very cool.
