“It’s one of best things anyone has ever said.”

No - you are EXACTLY right. You have not changed - something here has. I have not been able to articulate it, because it’s a feeling - like io9 is more...aggressive?...

Just trying to cancel my original post.

Your direct addressing of the quantitative and qualitative research backed up by data and explained with level headed clarity, a lack of aggressively hyperbolic statements, and supported facts has no place here!

UPDATE: Another Gizmodo writer posted an article this morning.

It’s funny - I think we’re so used to internet driven opining of “It’s the greatest thing in the WORLD. EVER.” and “THIS IS THE MOST AWFUL thing EVER.” that a reasonable amount of “This looks like a movie that’s worth some time and the cost of the ticket.” is an absurd notion.

Genuine question: So, this movie exists in a continuity where the original 2 movies don’t exist?

Attaching my question to this particular article was probably the incorrect way for me to bring up the question that has been bugging me.

I was referring to the landing page (can’t comment on that, so I had to go to this article’s section). The pictures, headlines, and opening paragraph before the click - these are the places I mean.

Has io9 always been this aggressive in trying to reveal details of things to fans? It’s getting hard to click on the home page without feeling a little wind taken out of my sails.

Good luck with that AND continuing to read io9/Gizmodo.

I love the concept of the “Trainee” costume explaining the bright yellow - like a student driver. It’s clever that - as a typical teen - she wants to cover it up with her own look, but in using her powers, it burns away. She’s stuck with the school uniform because it doesn’t disintegrate. Explains SO MUCH in a

LOL nice catch. I think of that show whenever people describe Downton Abbey as revolutionarily, never-before-seen...

I agree with those who say that Star Wars doesn’t generally push romance, anyway...and in a universe accepting of all manner of aliens and robots...the existence of homosexuals is hardly earth [Alderaan?] shattering...

I have given the question of “Why Chris Hardwick?” a lot of thought, too. I think some of it comes down to who fans invested in in the first place and what happened over time.He came along at a time where (in his terms, according to his autobiography/self help book, The Nerdist Way), he was a down-and-almost-out

I agree with you.

....I’m just surprised it’s not benefiting Chris Hardwick in some capacity.

Io9...sorry...Gizmodo has has become so AGGRESSIVE lately in its spoiling through headlines and images.

Cool.
