One of my favorite early jokes on 30 Rock was when TGS was running short on content and Liz Lemon suggests that they have the musical guest just do an extra song. Someone points out that the musical guest is James Blunt. There is the briefest of pauses and they all go back to brainstorming how to fill the time.
Maybe a dumb question but... If the ban is temporary, what was the US government supposed to be doing with those 90/120 days? I assumed it was for them to develop their “extreme vetting” methodology. But it’s been a lot longer than 120 days since the initial ban was introduced. Did the WH develop their vetting…
One of the most freeing realizations of my life was that no one cares what I am doing, because everyone is too self-involved to notice. Everyone is too busy worrying about how others view them to really take a hard look at me. No one will notice my occasional long lunch because they are too worried that I noticed that…
I hate to say it, but some doctors can get a tad fixated on a preferred procedure or drug and lose sight of what is best for the patient.
How old are his kids? He was married for 30+ years and his kids are named in the lawsuit for allegedly helping hide his assets, so they be adults who have inherited the asshole gene as well.
Thank you for standing up to this guy!

I don’t care if she’s anti-abortion as long as she’s not trying to take that right away from others. That’s how I define my position as being pro-choice: You do you, just don’t tell me what to do with my body.
I think it’s a tie.
Except he hasn’t aged at all.
Swift should respond by getting photographed looking super hot* while on the arm of a gorgeous** foreign*** guy, and then go home with him and have a wild passionate night**** on top of a pile of money. *****.
Agreed that she seems to take these things very personally— and that reaction is reinforce when she benefits from that emtional (not logical or professional) reaction. Break-ups and feuds lead to more press, and material for more songs, and juicier interviews, equaling more press...
I have one of those. I posted a photo online from a work HH and apparently she thought she looked fat in the picture. I untagged her when asked (within 10 minutes) but she didn’t talk to me for years because of it.
And Obama’s signature looks like a baby T-Rex playing with a ball of yarn.
I think that cuts to the heart of the issue— I look at this in terms of my own work and view it through a professional lens, but I bet it feels a lot more personal to a performer when their dancers quit for another show.
I don’t think any of these people actually know what karma is and how it is supposed to work.
But that’s how employment works. There’s no guarantee that your employee will stick around forever, and I would guess that in the entertainment/dance world, you come to expect that people leave productions for other jobs.
There’s an expression about how we judge others for their actions and ourselves for our intent. I never intended to hurt someone else’s feelings or make them feel less than, but I am sure I have more than once.
