I got my front left corner chopped off of my Ford Focus last year by a lady driving a big ass lifted Ram. I don’t think she ever saw me, at any point. I’m fairly certain her mirrors were so high up she likely couldn’t even see the roof of my car. She just decided it was time to move over and “merged” right into me

Nah, we’ll just be talking about brownouts and blackouts then as the electric companies, states, counties and municipalities continue to not spend on infrastructure upgrades.  It’s almost like they’re more interesting in saving money than actually making money.

I grew up in the panhandle of Texas, and now every time I go back I get that same oppressive isolation feeling that I had forgotten about long ago. I enjoy being alone, but knowing there are people close. Being out in the middle of a flat, featureless expanse surrounded by nobody and nothing is terrifying to me now.

Apparently all you have to do is yell “FIRE?” as a question, and then you’re “just asking, just curious.” It’s insane that that line of defense works on television and radio.

That uncompromisingly ugly description is apt, and it also applies to most of the white people living there, which is around 85% of the population, and higher if you include the surrounding farming towns and communities. It’s nickname is the Hub City, which makes sense geographically and from a farming perspective,

I was born there and spent the first 22 years of my life there all the way through college at Tech.

Oh come on, you know, you KNOW she already got the vaccine, and she damn sure isn’t going to tell anyone she did.

Where’s Thanos when we need him?

Conservatives: “Pro life! All life matters!”

I love in Houston.  We don’t need the _______tucky, we just call it Texas.

This country/world is so incredibly, depressingly fucked up.

My elementary school growing up in Texas was the Waters Elementary Wizards, but that was changed immediately in the early 90s due to Christians and the right taking offense. Talk about cancel culture. Yet somehow a confederate leader's name and the associated support of slavery is just fine...

Of course it is. They don’t do anything BUT straight up lie.  And yet never any repercussions.

He’s doing this with 6% of the state vaccinated, days before Spring Break starts. April is going to be a complete shit show in Texas. Avoid us at all costs.

Most of late state capitalism falls under that umbrella, so I’m there for that as well.

I say let them rally behind him. The next 2-4 years are going to be FULL of glorious reveals and data dumps, and they’re going to be riding that discovery all the way down.

Pretty easy to do that when you don’t see black skin as human.

ITBs!

Unfortunately, more than 400,000 of us did not survive this presidency.
