So far all of the legal challenges have been immediately dismissed. We may end up with a recount or two, but I don’t currently see any actual path of argument to the Supreme Court.

The problem is that’s it’s not about the people in offices anymore. This country has turned politics into sports franchises to be milked for money, and it’s nothing but red team vs blue team. Red team has predominantly their entire individual identities and self worth tied up in that tribe and any separation from it…

I mean the ratings are what they are, but the only thing that actually matters is the voting, and what I’m seeing here in Texas (Harris & Galveston by me) is promising, despite the governor’s attempts at direct and blatant voter suppression.

Accurate. These debates are absolutely pointless. They aren’t going to change anyone’s mind, and there’s not a single person sitting on any fences at this point. Everyone knows exactly who they’re voting for, despite what they might tell others.

But wait, if he’s equating those two to be equal, then that MUST mean that he would consider medical treatment to remove the virus equal to abortion....right?

This man has the best free health care in the world.  he will come out unscathed and even more determined to use his case as an example that it’s all an overblown democrat conspiracy. I have no hope left in this life, it’s nothing but turtles all the way down.

And throw in a healthy bit of voter suppression like what just happened in Texas and you win simply by making it next to impossible for anyone else to vote.

Because his ego and narcissism knows no bounds.

There’s no punishment or accountability in this country for anyone who is not regarded as an “other” by the racist white people in charge at all levels, even if what you did was directly in contradiction to the law as written.

And the shitshow of a response from a good chunk of the citizens as well. And that’s not even considering that schools haven’t even come back in full force yet.  Give it 3-4 weeks after Labor day and watch the complete and utter flames that will be fanned from the pile of children catching and distributing Covid.
