If anime has taught me anything, one prepares for a Solar Flare by simply closing one’s eyes for a few seconds.

If you zoom out far enough? Nah, it’d be kind of funny. But think about it even a little bit and the humor starts to fall apart. They had hundreds of live animals on it the last time. I doubt those conditions are great when everything goes to plan. When you have a 3-month detour in the desert with no decent way to…
How much would it be in your area to run power out to that garage? Seems like you’d find a few more uses for that than just keeping a battery charged.
You aren’t wrong.
As a Wisconsinite, the only way the Brandy Alexander sniffs this list is if we’re disqualifying the Old Fashioned. I know it’s technically not a Christmas drink, but every bar in the state better be ready to sling tons of them during the holidays. When I used to tend bar at corporate Christmas parties, I’d say that…
Friends don't let friends spend $30k on GM products with 120k miles on the clock. That is not what I’d call low mileage. In fact, that would be considered both high mileage and severe conditions based on a standard maintenance schedule.
I literally did a search of my entire state, and the number of fast chargers available outside of a few cities is... not encouraging.
I’m okay with noncepts like this one, because at least it means there’s still a little bit of whimsy in the world if boring old Nissan is drawing up single seat race cars.
Good luck finding an SS with low miles in that price range right now. Most of the ones I’ve seen lately are closer to $50k. It's older brother the G8 can be found pretty easily, though.
He doesn't actually mention Mercedes in the submission, so I'm not sure how that got in the summary.
2009 Pontiac G8 GT. 9000 MILES. $33k.
Most what? The cars might be capable, but how many charging stations are? Only a handful of charges in my city can do 50+, and it's a desert outside city limits. At least 75% of the high speed ones are Tesla chargers, too. I know there's been talk of opening those to other automakers, but I don't know what the…
Yes, the range is actually an issue on the Mazda, and it’s not just because the car is overpriced. Sure, it’s going to cover your average person’s commute just fine. But people are not their commutes. What about getting groceries, picking up dry cleaning, running to the pharmacy, going to your kid’s basketball game in…
I’m going on the record and saying that there is no such thing as a truly beautiful Porsche. There are certainly some that I find very attractive, and that can be considered beautiful as a whole, mechanical package (i.e. the Singer 911s). But on pure aesthetics, they just don’t belong on a list like this.
I gotta ask. Why? Why are THESE gas prices getting people all nuts. Gas was easily a dollar per gallon more when I was in college 12-13 years ago. I get that a lot of people have been fucked by the pandemic, but a lot were fucked by the housing crash and banking corruption, too.
I have the opposite problem. Everyone in my family knows that I keep up on this stuff and that I enjoy doing research. But only my parents actually take my advice.
This kind of comment always surprises me. I’m only 5' 7" and I have to push the seat almost all the way back in most cars to be comfortable. I don’t know how someone with nearly a foot on me could be comfortable in a car as small as a Miata. Granted, having the top down takes care of a lot if you aren’t super bulky…
Definitely a stripper pole. No way a guy who spends 6 mill on his Frankenstein project truck isn't that special flavor of divorced.
Yeah, why try to, you know, keep people alive when you can save a few bucks at the pump?
Would it? The new Maverick weighs ~500 lbs more than a 1995 Ranger. That amount of weight savings would give you a few more mpg at best.
