More accurately, they bought out your lease.  The question has to do with actually turning in and walking away, not just trading in and starting over with a new car.

I think I’d have the BRZ simply because they are both actually Subarus where it counts. I’m sure Toyota did help and made it a very good Subaru, but I’d prefer all the badges to match.

You mean you want there to be workers comp benefits when this happens? Stop being selfish.

I guess being fussy, unreliable, and hideously expensive to maintain is part of the whole supercar mystique? Have always thought, even if money was not a concern, why not get the one I can daily?

Same.  I had a ‘13 Accord Sport 6MT.  Loved everything about it, except then circumstances changed and I really wanted a pickup.  I still love my Tacoma, very very useful and practical and has been the right thing for some many chores and camping trips.  But I sure wish I’d had space and budget to keep the Accord.

duplicate?  Kinja nonsense, sorry

Exactly. I suppose they might then nickel and dime you for excessive wear & tear, etc. when you go to turn it in, and/or not get as good of a deal on your next one. If they aren’t going to be able to flip it for a profit on the used lot. But they seem to be pretty good at setting their values and probably almost never

Also could be interpreted as, these are the cars whose lease payments were WAY too high in the first place. If the mfr. is confident in their resale value (esp. through CPO program), they can offer a (lower) lease payment to coincide more closely to that strong residual.

None of this is a comment on my own status or opinion regarding the vaccines. Just saying, FDA approval means nothing to people who have already made their own decision about this. To many, govt agencies are to be trusted even less than elected officials.

They’ll make so much on the used trade-in, not a huge loss in exchange for the goodwill.

Neutral: Yes! Took our new RDX from Fort Worth to San Antonio this weekend. Used 281 on the way down to avoid traffic on I-35, and only got 18 mpg because it’s fun in the hill country and the passing zones are short. Used 190 on the way home and got equally bad fuel economy because it is just rock solid at 90+ mph

Or, you know, go ahead and get a Mustang or Camaro as Tom almost suggested (I prefer Mustang, YMMV). Probably will feel like a Lexus compared to the 914.

Fact: It’s a gorgeous car.

Yeah but look at all the comments he got!  Self righteous “journalism” not afraid of controversy because of their sacred duty to the blah blah blah
