Okay so I haven’t made a comment in like 2 years because I never got out of the greys after about a decade, but I’m a huge space nerd but the bit about SpaceX is wildly wrong. SpaceX has done three manned flights over the last year or so, and is doing a private space flight later in the summer.
I don’t know why I have to point this out every time, but work on Hubble started in 1978, it was originally scheduled to launch in 1983, and it launched in 1990.
And also, every NASA hardware ever was designed and built by a private sector company. The shuttle was made by Rockwell. The Apollo Lunar Module was built by Grumman. Boeing Built the Saturn-V’s first stage, and so on.
