Right - like even if you add them all together it’s still not enough to give everyone a million. It’s damn difficult to be THIS wrong, but I find a lot of humans don’t understand numbers over a million very well.

The fact that most of society can’t seem to grasp both of these concepts at the same time is why we are not very good at this. We’ve been trained to think exactly opposite of this.

People will like get “Eid Mubarak” yard signs for the benefit of neighbors that they’re afraid to talk to. 

Pharmaceuticals for one (and you mentioned that one). Homes (building codes), Vehicles (have to be registered).

By the way - the second link shows that only 6.4% of firearms were stolen. A reminder that stolen and purchased privately are two different things. The first link does not appear to separate them out at all but simply says they didn’t own the gun they used which is not the same as stolen.

Thanks for the links. I can think of a few things that are more highly regulated than guns other than pharmaceuticals, but I think your point still stands and seems pointless to debate our opinions of the word heavily.
