I find that the easiest way is to run iTunes and keep the old app files (restore them when they’re pushed to the recycle bin instead of emptying the recycle bin). It takes a lot of time deleting the older versions of the app (i.e. previous to the one that’s restored), if your apps are those that are updated

I highly recommend America’s Test Kitchen’s The Complete Cooking for Two Cookbook, especially if you find lots of leftovers unappealing or have limited freezer space for bulk cooking. It offers a large variety of recipes that are just the right size for 2 servings. The best part is that they didn’t just scale down

Would love to see a roundup or series of reviews focusing on the paid versions of popular free services. I think many keystrokes on Lifehacker have already been devoted to the pros and cons of a paid Spotify, Hulu, or cloud storage subscription, but here are a few ideas for services with premium tiers that could be

I’d love to see you guys review some enterprise grade WAPs for home use. I’m considering making the switch to a system where instead of a single WAP in the basement I can put one upstairs as well. I don’t have much confidence in the consumer grade repeaters (if they’re better than I think, I’m happy to hear

Grocery shopping isn’t a particularly enjoyable experience, but it has to get done.

Toaster Oven.

Yeah. That doesn’t seem that practical. I just take a sheet of parchment paper and do a fold for each strip of bacon and kind of roll them up. Then I just unroll however many strips I want.

2 years at a community college. Do it! Saves you tons of money, teaches you how to "be in college," smaller class sizes, etc. Jumping right into an expensive 4 year university is daunting. At CC you can find out what you want to study, try some different things, and not break the bank. I HIGHLY recommend it.

The best advice I can give to a graduating senior, and anyone really, is simply this: Don’t be an asshole. There are times when it’s tempting to be an asshole. There are times when it might be easier to be an asshole. But don’t be an asshole.

Take a break from school. Use that time to search your heart for what you want to do with your life. There’s no rush. Take your time and get over all that meaningless drama you just went through. Then, when you’re ready, go search for a community college. You don’t need to jump straight into years of debt just yet.

So then, if it was legal and regulated, your concern would be null and void.

If you don't want to shell out for the de Young Museum, head up to the Hamon Observation Tower for free and spectacular views of the city. You can walk around the whole tower top for 360 degree views. There's also a bird eye's view on one of the walls so you can see what you're seeing from a different angle.
