None of these calculators ever ask about pension income, family trusts, or other sources of income. It often misrepresents how you are actually doing.

About CES: So many times we read in tech reports of the wonderful things on display. However, our enthusiasm is diminished when we get to the end of the report and find that the item in question isn’t actually available or has no actual release date. Can your intrepid team have a way to distinguish what actually is

Maybe I’ve been stung by bad updates once too often, but I back up to my computer too. I tried archiving my apps but I realized only the most recent needed to be saved. I still run a backup around once a month, that’s not too much of a hassle. I still get stung once in a while (a certain credit card company borked a

My parents will love this book. My dad is always recalculating recipes or making too much for just the two of them. ATK recipes just work.

I’m a big fan of buying large amounts of boneless chicken breasts on sale, slicing them into fillets and freezing them (wrapped in plastic to prevent freezer burn). Take one out in the morning, throw it on a plate in the fridge and it’s ready for a quick pan saute with frozen veggies in the microwave. Dinner in 15

You know those single serving fruit & pudding cups? Rinsed and saved, they become perfect 1/2 cup portion cups. I’ve also used them for freezing egg whites, chicken broth for pan sauces (once frozen you can pop the broth pucks out and store them in a freezer bag.

RatZapper. It’s even managed to kill two mice at once. Really, it’s totally worth it. There’s a light on top that flashes when it zaps the mouse. Walk it out to the trash, dump out the corpse and reset. I use nuts or those little sesame snacks as bait.

Most of my family came to the U.S. from Ukraine/Lithuania around the time this map was made. I’ve discovered that the trip probably took close to three weeks. Working backwards: 10 days from Hamburg to the U.S in steerage; 3 days in quarantine in Hamburg (required by U.S. immigration to weed out disease); 3-4 days on

Mine is a rock from Robbin Island. It looks like a tiny mountain. Someone very precious to me brought it back when they visited South Africa. No one in my office knows the significance but me.

On our way home from a family Thanksgiving, we pulled off highway 101 in Buellton. As we waited at the light, a reindeer car drove by. My thought: “You paid money for that?”

For reasons I cannot explain, I actually watched the episode, the first this season. In the back of my mind is a little Kate, sniggering and astounded in equal measure. (Lordy, Ted Danson is bloody awful.)

So here I am, prostrate from the pain in my back, hating pretty much everything and everyone who can live a normal life and who pops up in my RSS feed? Kate is here to bring a most welcome laugh.

I got a late start, I was in my early 40s. Before that, I lived paycheck to paycheck. Never used my credit card unless I knew I could pay it off at the end of the month. And was scared most of the time. I saved what I could to a savings account (emergency fund) but that was it.

This is really useful information, I’d like to print it out and tape it to the inside of my pantry door, but it’s 102 inches long! It’s very pretty, with all the drawings and whatnot, but a simple list would actually be useable.

Dear Kate,

Ahhh, the great and powerful Apple option key. So many mysteries revealed. Has anyone created “The Complete Apple Option Key List?”

I think he wasn’t “street” enough in his vesty garments. Everyone knows hackers rock the t-shirts and hoodies, right?

Whoa there Kate, there’s no TM on your Oscar shout-out. They take that very seriously. Unlike the writers of this bilious dreck.

I think you just ripped a hole in TV space-time.

I don’t know if this will help, but have you checked out
