Honestly, it’s getting a little tiring that people can’t voice their opinions without everybody jumping at their throats. So you disagree. Leave it at that. Why must we demand apologies from celebrities? What she said is not far from the truth, sadly. Some truths are hard to hear. The world is what it is. She’s not

Did you not see the word viable? There are lots of qualified people of either gender who are not viable as candidates, and unfortunately, female candidates often have to be twice as qualified as their male peers to be considered viable.

I think this speaks to one of the things people have said about her; that she’s absolutely fired up and a totally different person when she’s talking policy and substance, compared to campaigning. Politico had an interesting article on this from someone who’d reported on her both when she was Secretary of State and on

I was so tired of HIMYM by the last two seasons that I thought this was overkill, but now I kind of want it, I need a New York sitcom in my life.

it’s funny how this “realism” never applies the other way.

I’m ok with this. I’ll probably be blasted for saying such, but I’m ok with it. And I LOVE Bellamy Young. This is no different than Obama in ‘08, but somehow, miraculously, treated so, so differently. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ooh, another fav :

Guys imagine if HRC had said something about fucking subway tokens.

Usually I scoff at the notion of overzealous “PC culture” (blech, I don’t even like typing it) running out of control....

This is such a wildly privileged opinion. Real people will get hurt under Trump. SCOTUS will be changed. Laws will be passed. The military will be deployed, affecting people around the globe. I get that you want a different political system but this is the one we live in. Don’t throw others under the bus in your quest

Okaaaay, but why? Like, I’m glad that this author is a well-adjusted person with happy memories of her childhood and adolescence, but I don’t really see how that contributes to the conversation.

I thought The Revenant was really uninteresting and not worth the hype. But....it’s a really weak year in the Best Actor category, so I don’t see anyone else but DiCaprio taking best actor. Bryan Cranston was OK in Trumbo, but it was a lightweight movie that didn’t make a splash. Damon’s nomination for The Martian is

this may be an unpopular opinion but the revenant was terrible and leo does not deserve an oscar for it

To be fair, doing cocaine is more entertaining than watching people do cocaine.

Paul regretted his treatment of the followers of Jesus and renounced his time as Pharisee. And none of his teachings were out of line with what Peter or other apostles were teaching. Except for how he thought people shouldn’t have to strictly conform to Jewish law, which is more in line with Jesus’s teachings. And how
