“..this will become spin for Pete and somehow, someway Michael Harriot will eventually be labeled as the villain in all of this....”

He’s calculating, that’s what I pick up. The fact that he’s been given all this attention when Booker and Castro have the same pedigree makes me look at him side-eyed. He’s NOT getting my vote. Period.

“But do you disagree with the point I was making?” Mayor Buttigieg asked, listing a few programs designed to alleviate this specific problem. “Sometimes children don’t get to see the possibilities. Do you think the lack of positive examples of educational success can lead to mistrust and a lack of confidence in

Of course Buttigieg’s campaign called. I knew it would happen. He’s a democrat in desperate need of black support, so why not?

Well, not In those exact words, but...

“We have to disabuse ourselves from the notion that the problem with educational inequality is because of an esoteric lack of support,” I explained. “That’s a lie. And a man as educated as yourself knows it’s a lie. And to regurgitate that narrative publicly is not just dangerous, it is malpractice.”

people seem to have skipped over this very important piece. this means they likely sacrificed others to make the helmet for the already dead infant. talk about throwing good money after bad.

the big question is (since the helmets still had flesh): were the helmet kids killed just to make a skull for the already dead infant?

I guess more Cannibal Corpse metal than Black Sabbath metal...

They didn’t say there was no reason to suspect the older children were killed to make hats, just that there was no direct evidence. The folks who study this stuff try to remain unbiased so it doesn’t taint their observations. It is our job, as random internet folks, to be appalled at likely child sacrifice.

“LOL what if I bury him with his brothers head as a hat?
“HA, you crazy man.”

Both of the juvenile skulls were “still fleshed” when secured to the infants’ heads, according to the paper. In both cases, the helmet skulls were fitted tightly to the infants’ heads, and in the case of burial 370, the outer skull was positioned such that the infant’s face “looked through and out of the cranial vault,

Maybe the people doing the burying just had a fucked up sense of humor.

So, if a baby dies while being babysat, the baby sitter is sentenced to guarding them in the afterlife?

They did mention that the helmet skulls were “still fleshed” at the time they were put on and buried. That really doesn’t sound like they were exhumed. It sounds very much like they were sacrificed on the occasion of the burial.

it says the “cranial vaults were still fleshed when placed on the infants”... ew

At first glance I thought this was talking about ancient toddlers wearing the skulls of deceased kids as like a helmet or something.  That would be so. metal.

Genuinely curious how we come to the conclusion that there is “no evidence” for child sacrifice in these cases, in spite of this: “Both of the juvenile skulls were “still fleshed” when secured to the infants’ heads, according to the paper.” I can understand that there’s no evidence in the sense that the rest of these
