I thought there was like, 50 minutes worth of material there (the "tell me about it" bit was painful).

So the intro was quite something. I loved it at first, then it went a little over the top… classic Metal Gear! By the way, was that whole character creation thing just a joke? A little like the Raiden mask from MSG3, only way more elaborate.
Yeah, the old "the sea monster turned out to just be a large alligator, but then as Mulder and Scully drive away in the last scene you see there really was a Nessie after all"… and many, many variations on the same trope.
Well, Jake dislikes Derry (which I later learned was some kind of tie-in to IT) but other than that he seems right at home in the 50's. It felt like a wasted opportunity to me. What would you miss? Would you ever have to bite your tongue? How would you react to the 'old fashioned' values of those around you? But he's…
I recently read Americanah too… It didn't quite live up to the hype I thought. Actually it kind of reminded of Sex and the City (I don't mean that as negatively as it sounds; I loved SATC during its heyday). Like, every few pages a new character would be introduced and provide a perspective on race relations, and then…
Gather round folks, hear all about what I've been reading this summer:
How does this work? Can I not put this on a dedicated mp3 player?
I honestly doubt we will ever see it. Square Enix seems to be slipping further behind with each console generation. If it does come out (2020?) I think it will feel like a completely new game, like the rest of the "compilation" stuff.
What happens if you save the kids? Because I killed that tree or whatever and later the kids were just gone.
Stuck on the giant battles?
There are actual pins? I thought it was like, metaphorical and shit.
Oh my god, I had forgotten all about the short reviews of yore! Because they were printed in a magazine, right?
Also I believe the grade-less breakout site was originally created after Uncharted 2 was given a B- or something, resulting in the site being overrun by angry hooligans.
How is that different from non-anthology shows?
I'm also starting to tire of the Witcher 3 (I'm about 30-40 hours in, about to head to Skellige). I wish I could articulate why I don't love it as much as everybody else seem to… I do agree that sidequests and NPC:s are leaps and bounds better and more involving than those of Dragon Age: Inquisition. Maybe it's just…
If I remember correctly the mother expected a car accident or something, but the "Angel of Debt" thought the ex-husband was a POS who deserved to go down for it. Still completely insane though.
Those last episodes of season 4 when Cordelia is in a coma, and just like lying around in the background of different scenes like a big prop? Just yuck, awful.
I guess I always read the ending as the world is ending either way. So you can either cower in a hole or something and maybe survive for a little while longer, or fight. But either way, everyone is doomed.
Yay, someone who eloquently expresses exactly how I feel!
Season 4 is kind of a mess but I still enjoy it. Really the only part I don't like is every scene with evil Cordelia (things pick up immensely once Jasmine is born). And really, season 3 and 4 tell one complete story, so I don't think of them as distinct entities.
