Man, if the story had ended (as I briefly thought it was about to) with Sam deciding to go after the treasure, never to be heard from again, and Nate going home with his family it would have been something truly poignant and memorable. Instead it's just fine.

I was never a huge fan of the series but Uncharted 4 really is heads and shoulders above the others. A big part of the improvement is less shooting.

So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time…

Yeah, feeling homesick is normal - maybe even having a bit of a cry in the privacy of your new room as the truck is leaving. But calling your mom back and asking her to stay the night crosses a line.

Damn, that's a sad story!

Lane?

What part of Harry Potter?

What part of Harry Potter!

Thoughts:

Funny, people downthread are saying route C is not a replay at all, but a continuation of the story. Personally I'm just at the end of route B and thought it was kind of a drag, despite the relative swiftness and some extra cut scenes sprinkled here and there. If route C does not immediately shake things up I think

Inevitably though, people are going to drop off and there will be no new influx if we insulate ourselves…

Oh, I completely disagree or my memory fails me - wasn't the Rito pre-quest over in like five minutes? (the shooting range)

The new Kings Quest is so underrated (though I did feel chapters 2-5 offered diminishing returns after the stellar chapter 1). Love watching Graham's cloak move - swish, swish!

I quite liked FFXV (warts and all) but I never went back to play after the credits had rolled, despite there allegedly being this innovative platforming-only dungeon and what not. It just didn't fit with how the story had ended. For the same reason I never used the time travel mechanic, it just didn't make sense

Noooo I'm not that guy who's like "the movie in my head was way better"… am I? I just think the movie had a great ending before they added that final ~60 second scene.

I had a blast watching this, but I agree it was a little disappointing that the whole thing evolved into a romance instead of, like, a journey of self-discovery 'n shit.

In fact, only one primary-relationship-based long-running series springs to mind: Mad About You.

Despite lukewarm reviews, I was sure Everybody's Gone to the Rapture would be right up my alley (digging Gone Home and the likes) but yes – so boring and slow! I remember finding a bike during the first ten minutes or so and being really excited at the prospect of getting around faster, but nope. You can't do anything.
