Strong holiday themes do harm rewatchability though. Not that you can't watch a halloween or christmas episode any time of the year, of course, but it's not quite the same. Also, a bonus for doing away with slavish adherence to the calendar is you would avoid complaints like "how are they still in community college

And Zoey Bartlett has been left in the hands of her kidnappers for years!

Oh, you said you hadn't made great progress, I thought you said the game wasn't great. Carry on.

Woha – I also did not realize Metroid Zero Mission was a thing! I must have had it confused with that Metroid Prime-like game for the DS (Hunters?) which was not so good, allegedly.

Super Metriod bashing! *drops monocle in shock*

Ooh, perfect timing! I never caught up with the Deep Space Nine write ups, but this time I'll be around to discuss the implausibilities of post scarcity society (or whatever this show has going on).

"It's a re-imagining of the 2002 classic"

Yeah it's always like for a dead grandpa or some such. I'm always like "YOUR GRANDFATHER WOULD HATE THAT CARP, HE THOUGHT TATTOOES WERE FOR CRIMINALS! …(probably)"

I really liked the Ocean at the End of the Lane, so American Gods seemed like the natural next step, but so far I feel kind of meh about it. It's so ZANY with the gods and the crime and the Lucille Balls… I find it rather tiring. I do like the "coming to America" shorts though.

I hated the giant battles with a passion! Where was stupid hand-holding Nintendo would-you-like-to-switch-to-easy-mode when you needed it?

The bluntness of the PS3 message never fails to rub me the wrong way.

I've run out off pie-related puns! *schmoff*

Unlikeable, but also almost painfully relatable (for me).

Counting the days until part 3 of the Magicians shows up in the mail. Don't think I've been this excited about a book since waiting for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Nice to see Lightning Returns getting some love. I just discovered Kotaku gave it a straight up "No" in their review, ouch. I had a blast with it (and this is coming from someone with very little love for the previous games). Agnello is right however that it's very unpolished for a major studio production so late in

Hrm, rabbi Krustofsky… haven't they been teasing this death for like a year? He seems rather obscure to the casual fan.

I find it weird and scary that kids apparently become rich and famous these days by recording themselves playing video games and making inane comments.

Oh, Girard – never change (though you're WRONG).

I would have loved Dream Team if it had been a 12 hour game without the dream levels, instead of a 40 hour game with a lot of blandness.

Is this also the scene where Woodward mistakenly calls somebody by the wrong name? That's also something you NEVER see in movies. The naturalistic style here is so great.
