It IS weird.

@LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus But in those other episodes things returned to normal by the end. I discovered Buffy six months ago (starting with season 5) so I'm not one of those wounded fans, but I can see why one might be bothered by the fact that the characters no longer remember the events of the past four years the

Reading Noel's Buffy recaps I noticed everyone's always complaining about what a terrible actress Glory is, but surely some blame has to go to the writers? Every scene has her stomping her foot and saying "Where's my key? GRR! Find my key."

I finished reading Sisterland, which I loved, Curtis Sittenfeld can do no wrong in my book.

Naah, I get it, really I do (thankfully my parents aren't like that, but my grandmother totally had that suffocating-generosity-with-strings-attached going on).

Oh god that episode with the jeep is absurd. That's some deep, psychological issues right there - it's an inanimate object Lorelai! (I mean I get that she was unable to let it go because of her estrangement from Rory or whatever but still, totally unreasonable. It's a car.)

It's a bit forced in this case though, because the solution is right there - I never feel too bad about Lorelai's financial problems. Oh, she's too proud to ask her parents for help, boo hoo.

I liked The Man of My Dreams well enough, but wasn't the ending sort of a total cheat? SPOILERS It's like "Hello, it's a few years later now. I live in Arizona and work with severely autistic teenage boys. Given up on those silly romantic dreams I have, yup". And you're like okaaay? It would have been nice to maybe

I want to express deeper appreciation for your third paragraph than any "like" could possibly convey.

Well, I never noticed. Thank you from the future!

KFP2? Speak English, nerds.

I think I agree with this assessment. There is certainly a lot to like about Up but the plot is very …messy. The 'rules' of the universe are not sufficiently established in the beginning, so there are strange turns of event every now and then (dogs fly blimps, dudes from the colonial era are up and about wreaking

When he proposes in public?

Received and started reading Curtis Sittendfeld's Sisterland. I love love LOVE her previous books so I'm pretty excited about this one, though it somewhat surprisingly has supernatural elements.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the infamous "nuke the fridge"-scene is loads of fun and I don't get why everyone hates it.

Everyone's so harsh on poor ol' Sims…

…and Willow explained the prominence of churches, not Buffy.

I think I prefer original Carol to the one we eventually got. The other one has such an evil-stepmom vibe going on, I don't think it fits at all.

But he wears a leather jacket!
