Not really, but the chances of him actually handing this darn thing down to his kids, which by the way don’t even exist yet, is slim. So I figure he should just enjoy the car for now.

If we can’t create jobs by giving money to rich people, what can we do?

But we want them to be an efficient, world class automaker that ALSO keeps thousands of people on the payroll in influential congressional districts!

I agree that, on a big pickup, you likely won’t get as much value from a solid front axle, since you’re geometry limited.

I think the IFS v solid axle complaint is overstated on a vehicle like this. Sure, you have a dedicated crawler a front axle is vastly superior. But for a truck like this, the suspension articulation is limited by axle length and body panels. A solid axle would offer better grip, but it wouldn’t be THAT much better.

If only it could take that abuse without setting off its airbags...

LOL.

I guarantee when Trump dies the entire country is taking the day off, and it won’t be for mourning

They’ll need it just to handle all of the party invitations.

That’s hilariously stupid. I hope we get extra mail delivery when Trump dies.

Okay, ALL federal employees makes more sense than just the USPS folks--which is what I thought the case was.

Yes, the entire federal government (except “essential personnel,” which are the folks that work on holidays anyway, like cops, some military, border patrol, customs, etc...) shuts down for a day of mourning upon the death of a President. It’s definitely happened for Presidents Nixon, Reagan, Ford and, now, Bush. I

Generally yes. I remember the same thing happening when Gerald Ford died ~10 years ago.

The USPS gets $0 in taxpayer money. The USPS is, since its creation, self-supporting.

I respectfully disagree that Americans failed. Personally, I swore never to give a dime to GM due to their unprecedented hubris, immeasurable incompetence, and unbelievably shitty vehicles after the combination of the above resulted in their required bailout. The bailout was the last straw.

You can bury it as part of a larger array of grievances all you want but that part is still wrong. I am under no obligation to buy anything I don't want. Neither are you.  I only owe GM the same thing I owe Ford or Nissan or Mercedes or any other car company.  I owe them the same honesty and respect in any business

I used to be like you. Until my 2015 with 30,000 miles got a motor replacement and has spent 2 of the last 3 months in a service bay with seemingly unfixable CELs. Want to buy mine? It’s still under warranty.
