Alongside “is that your car?” to a woman I also get “is that your husband’s?” when I’m driving anything even remotely cool. It even happened when a mobile service person saw my open garage. I was the only one home and I don’t wear a wedding ring.

Kristen: News that you are leaving is as devastating as when our governor closed school through the end of the school year and now my kids are home full time until August.

I find it hilarious that the microwave is not only located inconveniently far from the rest of the food preparation area but that it also has it’s own set of curtains to hide it from view... but they aren’t closed for the photo. Like the real estate photographer was trying to make it feel more homey And down to earth b

Barrett-Jackson, when it doesn’t rain, is a great week for car spotting. I saw a 458 Italia, a Gallardo, three Bentleys and a gorgeous 1940s hot rodded Ford truck driving around Carefree/Cave Creek yesterday because the weather just begs people to bring out their best rides.

Spotted in Phoenix last month 💙

I am very sorry to see you go, thank you for your writing and perspective “over the years.

Oh man! (Pun intended) That statement started out so well! *facepalm*

I drove my kids around in the back of an STI until they were 9, then turned the STI into a track car and bought a used manual Outback. It’s no STI, but I am really happy with my car for what I need it for now. I would have also bought a Forester but couldn’t find any manuals in my price range that didn’t have crazy

Coming from Phoenix, I have to say that cooled seats are equally great during the months you don’t need heated seats.

I was at the race at Monza yesterday, it looked like the sponsor had already been removed from their cars. I could be wrong though, we weren’t paying much attention to that team. None of the Haas swag for sale included Rich Energy.

I like Centurions but this thing doesn’t look right. The non-period correct wheels and tires don’t help.

Engine swaps usually mean “run away screaming” except that my dad purchased a 1977 911 with a 1984 engine in 1994 and we still do track days with it. I’d buy this one.

I was wrong, the Outback no longer has the manual option. Now I’m sad, but I’m definitely keeping mine... throwing off CarMax sales figures even more.

Subaru’s Outback offers a manual transmission

That is much better looking than the Model X!

It’s not that at all. Racers, and especially motorcycle racers of all variety, tend to be some of the most fun, spirited, life-loving people you could meet. They relish life in ways others just... don’t. It’s okay if some people don’t get it, just don’t tell them how to live their lives.

My gosh, I really love the way you wrote this. Thank you.

It’s things like shocks, belts, hoses. Nothing major, the car just isn’t worth that much so the replacement parts seem expensive by comparison.

My mom drives an 05 convertible Solara. She bought it new and has driven it over 130,000 miles. She test drove a number of convertibles before settling on this one because it has a massive trunk. Massive for any vehicle, not just a convertible. It’s not beige, but periwinkle with a tan top and interior. That almost
