Ray Bachellier knows what's up. \m/

That angel dust line got the biggest laugh from me. It was just so… Bob.

When and how did he lose his healing powers anyway? I have a terrible memory, so I can't remember if the show ever elaborated upon it.

"But I actually prefer the term 'cleaner' to 'assassin'."
"Now that's just smart branding."
"And I'm actually Canadian, not Irish."
"… so is that."

Hey, you can insult Bieber all you want, but do NOT drag poutine into this.

Greg Giraldo (RIP) would have killed it too.

Unfortunately, still no sign of Pumpkin… errr, I mean Triana.

It's not as original as Colbert's whole "playing a faux-conservative bizarro version of myself" schtick. But I have high hopes for Larry; he was always genuinely funny on the Daily Show. Plus he is (well, was) the guy behind Black-ish!

This show seems completely off-the-wall and ridiculous and I'm already in love with it. Plus I'm a big fan of the animation style!

You're crazy. Kevin Hart is hilarious! I mean, did you plug both your ears during the monologue or something?

That Instagram talk show sketch had the most glaring fuckup though, with the big cell phone screen almost failing to turn on. Imagine if they hadn't been able to get that screen working at all!

Given the large amount of Steven Universe comments that have already been made tonight (in the comments section for Adventure Time, no less!), one would think that they would be a clear sign to the AV Club staff that there's a sizable demand for the return of the weekly Steven Universe review article…

Feel free to shame me for this, but my favourite quote actually comes from the twentieth season episode "Lost Verizon", during that prank call that Bart makes to the Bergmanesque Swedish bartender. His reply (and the deadpan yet dramatic Seventh Seal-ish way he delivers it) just gets me every time:

"Oh… uh… see how I switched to English there? I was testing you!"

To be honest, I don't think "Evergreen" was as good as "The Pajama War" from last week. Don't get me wrong; I still think it was a good ep that contributed to the AT mythology, but given the hype, I was somewhat underwhelmed. I definitely enjoyed SU more this week.

I think ending it at Kevin's advances was kind of the point, though. Garnet told Stevonnie that they are an experience, and that they should make sure it's a good one. What follows is an exploration of Stevonnie experiencing personal freedom and having fun with it. But Stevonnie was able to recognize that hooking up

"I'm DJing, and a bunch of my friends from the Internet are gonna be there. There's gonna be free… glowsticks…"

Yeah, the Steven Universe tag on Tumblr is essentially nothing but Stevonnie gifs and fanart right now. It's glorious.

"Make way for the Homo Superior!"

It was more about intimacy than sex. To me, it seems more like a reflection of how bodies change in our youth… and how people react to those changes.
