To paraphrase, for any old people that don’t quite get Kickstarter:
You will never see the game you backed. Just accept that now and keep hammering this company on the issue until the relent and give you an interview.
Have you ever done something so colossally stupid in a video game that you almost wish you had been drunk and/or…
Blizzard getting an injunction against a Diablo movie is as legit as the Coca-Cola Co. getting an injunction against a movie called Coca-Cola. IE, totally legit. You have not just the right, but the obligation to actively defend your trademark, or else it becomes diluted. Which is why Google put an end to dictionaries…
I think it depends, though - if you make a version of Diablo inside SC2 it’s more considered a mod, which they’re okay with. If this is entirely standalone it holds the potential to legally weaken their trademark, which might force their hand.
The original pretty much doesn’t work unless you run a VM.
Blizzard had World of Starcraft trademarked whats wrong with them protecting their trademark? If they don’t go after 1 person it means they can’t do shit when someone else goes and does the same thing.
So you need the original files to play a barely playable re-write of Diablo. But if you have the original files then wouldn’t you have the first Diablo already? And wouldn’t that be playable, or at least more playable?
Out of curioisity, if the game doesn’t hold up well by your own admission, why would it getting a HD prettification treatment make you kill for it?
I still own the original diablo. Sadly I dont much like it because I played it in this day and age and it doesnt hold up well for me personally. I would kill for a HD remaster though.
Diablo III might be doing a good job of quenching your thirst for action RPGs today, but let’s not forget its humble…

Just a reminder: your insurance plan very, very likely covers adult MMR boosters totally free (thanks, Obama!).
Your response is perfect Jason. Thank you.
If you think that game sites should publish stories based on what developers want them to publish, I recommend you visit one of the many sites that does just that. On the other hand, if you want an independent games press that covers stories we think are interesting and/or important — even if developers and publishers…
How about you stop being a dick to people?
And here we are. Full circle. Apple started it with the ridiculous “Retina Display” nonsense, and all the zealots ate it up. Now? Apple fanboys proclaim screen resolution as useless. Awesome.
But regardless, it will probably represent the very best smartphone Apple has ever made come when it launches this fall.
Why? We spend way too much time blaming everything but ourselves for self-induced problems. The author’s language avoids personal responsibility—perfectly fair to call out that blatant self-denial.
