To paraphrase, for any old people that don’t quite get Kickstarter:

You will never see the game you backed. Just accept that now and keep hammering this company on the issue until the relent and give you an interview.

Blizzard getting an injunction against a Diablo movie is as legit as the Coca-Cola Co. getting an injunction against a movie called Coca-Cola. IE, totally legit. You have not just the right, but the obligation to actively defend your trademark, or else it becomes diluted. Which is why Google put an end to dictionaries

I think it depends, though - if you make a version of Diablo inside SC2 it’s more considered a mod, which they’re okay with. If this is entirely standalone it holds the potential to legally weaken their trademark, which might force their hand.

The original pretty much doesn’t work unless you run a VM.

Blizzard had World of Starcraft trademarked whats wrong with them protecting their trademark? If they don’t go after 1 person it means they can’t do shit when someone else goes and does the same thing.

So you need the original files to play a barely playable re-write of Diablo. But if you have the original files then wouldn’t you have the first Diablo already? And wouldn’t that be playable, or at least more playable?

Out of curioisity, if the game doesn’t hold up well by your own admission, why would it getting a HD prettification treatment make you kill for it?

I still own the original diablo. Sadly I dont much like it because I played it in this day and age and it doesnt hold up well for me personally. I would kill for a HD remaster though.

That short film is terrific. This proves that the presence of Adam Sandler is a toxin.

Really? You played 8 hours of the game and you’re ticked you couldn’t get your money back? the intent of the Steam refunds is not that it’s try before you buy, but rather to make sure the game functions. Also, it’s an Early Access game, bugs and connection issues are to be expected.

Just a reminder: your insurance plan very, very likely covers adult MMR boosters totally free (thanks, Obama!).

Your response is perfect Jason. Thank you.

If you think that game sites should publish stories based on what developers want them to publish, I recommend you visit one of the many sites that does just that. On the other hand, if you want an independent games press that covers stories we think are interesting and/or important — even if developers and publishers

But which is more frustrating? Playing like, 5 games in a row where everyone votes a surrender, or dealing with one idiot who wants to troll while the other 4 carry the team? I get what you’re saying about a vote, but I think getting to finish a game is a bit better of an option.

What will happen is that if there is one or two hold outs, they will get bitched at by the rest of the team and people will rage.

A surrender option is the one thing I really, really hope is never added. The games are already (usually) shorter than any LoL or Dota game, and people have a tendancy to just give up after one or two bad early teamfights, when in reality HotS is a game where a bad series of engages can be completely reversed by one

Trust me, you don’t want Steam to be any more of a monopoly than it is now. There are more than 4 pure platforms, like Desura and also ones that sell DRM free + Steam keys like Humble bundle then others that just purely sell Steam keys.
