The Xbox One controller is perhaps the best PC gamepad out right now. The plug and play with Xinput makes it a breeze to use. Steam even supports Xinput in Big Picture Mode, if you can stand to use it.

Golden Sun managed to make me care quire a bit about the characters, and it was an 8 bit GBA game. Skyrim? HD graphics and shallow characters that I now have more fun ragdolling around than helping.
