I don’t think he steals rebounds, but the team purposefully boxes out to feed him rebounds, and he leaves his man early on defense to get rebounds. I think getting Russ his stats is more important to the team than winning basketball games. It’s really pathetic to watch.

Harden has improved his defensive commitment massively this season and is a mediocre-to-average defender now. All of his high-usage teammates, save Anderson, are excellent defenders, so that’s all he needs to be.
