I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt - especially R* who I adore - but from the details provided this seems little more than a cheap money grab. Remaster by all means - I’d love that! - but do it properly. Things like not updating the controls/gameplay (seriously I do NOT miss the days of using the right

At least in the UK, that was very much Playstation’s doing. It’s pretty well documented that Sony’s marketing strategy was very deliberately to shift the perception of gaming from being a kids hobby to something guys did after a night at the pubs with your mates. It intersected with a general growing “lads” culture

Slight non sequitur but I’m curious how one guy seems to be doing half the voices in this show. Whoever voiced Charles Smith in Red Dead Redemption 2 has done the Admiral guy, one of the Pykes and at least two other characters I’ve spotted so far.  At least with Baker there’s a good reason for him to do so many

Unless I’m much mistaken the Jedi at the start was Kanan Jarrus, the mentor in Rebels.

Absolutely agree, this whole damned show has been wheel spinning. I know at their core this and TCW are ‘kids’ shows, but that doesn’t necessarily need to come at the expense of a strong, engaging story. It’s hard not to think about how much Loki did with only six episodes and how ambitious it and say The Mandalorian

Also the rumour consensus seems to be that the next GTA is going to be Vice City, so they likely want to lay the hammer on anything VC-tangential

… Fuck.

She’s utter pants! :D

You know, I’m not completely instinctively opposed to this. As a huge AC fan, my main issue with the last few games has been how absurdly, obnoxiously large they’ve been. Playing them just becomes a slog, the much-mocked ‘map game’.

If Ubisoft can actually do this right, and take the opportunity to craft smaller, more

… this is a story about Sonic porn

I suspect you’ve hit upon what the arc of the show is going to be - that the TVA are far far worse than just bureaucratic and Loki’s redemption is in no way going to be doing what they want him to do.

Any information on cross-platform play? I’m glad that it’s started to become the norm but don’t think EA are on board with that yet.

Today I learned that I really want to see Angela Bassett running amok with hammers.  Huh.

He’s also been absolutely stellar in his comedic roles. He’s a hilarious scene-stealer in Kimmy Schmidt and Miracle Workers - and given in the latter he’s alongside Steve Buscemi is truly impressive.

This was actually one of the main problems I had with Warframe. I really liked being a sneaky space ninja, exploring all the nooks of the level. But on occasions you need to partner up with others. They’d inevitably be super strong, grinding some obscure macguffin and would blitz through the level with me desperately

Great to see it getting some love! I’ve been playing it the last few days and having a ball - as you say, its just the right level of relaxing.

The only caution I’d give is that I think it’s misleading to describe it as a city-builder.  It’s actually a puzzle game with the veneer of city-building.  Like, you could

Oh man, he’s so good in other stuff. He was phenomenal in the otherwise execrable Sweeny Todd. My biggest “what could have been” in movies (alongside Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man) is if him playing Freddie Mercury in the originally more brash version of Bohemian Rhapsody hadn’t fallen through.

See I’m torn, because hearing you talk about it and seeing the screenshots make me miss it, when playing it at the time was kinda fun but just always felt like such a slog. For me FFV will be one of those games I ‘enjoyed’ but the thought of going back fills me with existential dread (see also: AC: Odyssey).

Meant to add, commenting on the US population is exactly the point. You know where 75% of people aren’t white? Egypt, Jordan, India, the places where many of those artifacts could be in museums if they hadn’t been spirited away to the US/UK.
