Absolutely agree, this whole damned show has been wheel spinning. I know at their core this and TCW are ‘kids’ shows, but that doesn’t necessarily need to come at the expense of a strong, engaging story. Oh man, he’s so good in other stuff. He was phenomenal in the otherwise execrable Sweeny Todd. My biggest “what could have been” in movies (alongside Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man) is if him playing Freddie Mercury in the originally more brash version of Bohemian Rhapsody hadn’t fallen through.

See I’m torn, because hearing you talk about it and seeing the screenshots make me miss it, when playing it at the time was kinda fun but just always felt like such a slog. For me FFV will be one of those games I ‘enjoyed’ but the thought of going back fills me with existential dread (see also: AC: Odyssey).

Meant to add, commenting on the US population is exactly the point. You know where 75% of people aren’t white? Egypt, Jordan, India, the places where many of those artifacts could be in museums if they hadn’t been spirited away to the US/UK.
