I didn’t delve too much into the detail because I don’t want it to seem like more PC gamer assholery. I’m not a troll, and can fully get the appeal of consoles - the main gist I was trying to get at is how odd a sensation it is having been playing consoles since the Megadrive to be skipping this gen. If I were to get

This is my first time skipping a console generation as I’ve finally managed to get into PC. Not because hurr durr master race, but the way my life is now (kid, job, mortgage etc) I just can’t justify the expense anymore. Honestly, it’s a weird sensation and I’m slightly jealous - there’ll always be an emotional

Make the window thinner. You’re welcome.  But yeah it’s so bad.

(I discovered by accident trying to have Chrome open next to a baby monitor).

Will this new update finally give players the zombie-killing action they have longed for

“more importantly, I got to cross an item off a list, which is the most satisfying reward of all”

I know you’re joking but in all seriousness that’s what stopped me playing RDO more. Without much new content, the main thing to do was the daily objectives, and checking those off becomes so dull and soul-destroying and

A good choice, I had been Playstation for 15 years before jumping to PC about 4 years ago. The PS4 did it for me, primarily lack of backwards compatibility and paying for PS+ to do any online gaming. Now it’s rigged up to my TV, so couch gaming, video streaming et al. As an amateur I by no means have an advanced PC

I think it’s worth distinguishing between a “Remaster” and a “Remake”. It may seem like semantics but it would help manage expectations.

To my mind, a remaster is exactly what you describe - the original game but with basic contemporary upgrades like graphics, UI etc (e.g FFXII). A remake means using the original as

It’s definitely not necessary in NMS, not least because there’s no way that I’m aware of to see the amount of progress a player has made.  It’s more just random altruism (which does, apparently, still exist).

I’d throw A Short Hike in there - it’s a straightforward but charming old-school adventure platformer with a pretty great sense of humour and wonder.

My first thought on reading that comment - I didn’t know Henry Cavill was from Boston.

Mark my words, she’s angling for the Presidency. The GOP would lap it up - it would all but guarantee the continued support of the Trump Cult of Personality but with what appears at face value to be a milder, softer rhetoric.

If it’s of interest, it’s possible to glean something about the size of the map. The gameplay trailer included the location in the top, and from Britain I spotted Winchester, Lincoln and Canterbury. Between those cities and the North Sea is damn near half the country.

I’m a mite concerned about this, the broad

Also - Bayek might be the best AC protagonist in a series which, if nothing else, excels at awesome characters.

I did describe it as a “summation”, which it wouldn’t be if it wasn’t reductive. And I’d argue this isn’t really the forum to relitigate the whole debate - its a news update so a summary of the current state of play seems pretty sufficient. And neither you nor OP have demonstrated how such a summary is ‘gaslighting’

How is that gaslighting? Those statements are a balanced and fair summation of the state of play re Steam vs Epic.

Rockstar generally are really starting to drop the ball. They’re probably my all-time favourite developer, but the lack of communication or engagement with players is really poor. Red Dead Online was basically abandoned last year, despite showing a huge a amount of promise and with a large and dedicated following, and

As other’s have said, Origin and Odyssey were great but not AC games. Rogue was damned fine AC though, especially if you liked Black Flag, and Syndicate was a chuckle.

Full disclosure - I adore the original, have played it dozens of times over the last 25 years, and even I had no damned idea what was going on with the ghost/time/fate stuff. Like, actually - I did not twig the meaning of the ghosts interrupting things until reading Schreier’s article about it. That to me screams poor

One thing I’ve been pleasantly surprised by in FFVIIR has been the return of all the profoundly silly and pointless minigames. I previously said on here that I assumed they’d all be jettisoned but I’m glad I was wrong - they help the game embrace its own absurdity and injects some much-needed levity.

Oh man, his singing is amazing. There was one abut “Going on an adventure for TREASURE!!” that legit cracked me up.
